I am feeling the weekend chillaxing time out. Weekends are good for catching up with everything around. Sleep, cleaning up, cooking.
I just made the gooey-est lunch, but it shall last me for the next 5 lunches. Lolz. (Mushroom soup was on sale-no price to guessing what I made lolz).
So, the last weekend was a true break above all. End of shelf exams, 2 and half whole days. We walked all the way to Chinatown to catch dinner. Had lovely phat thai and tom yum.Taste just like home. Honestly, it was a Malaysian week for us. We had so many Malaysian dinners.
Okay. Gonna be a little bit jumpy in this post. Totally no structure.
Jazz concert after shelfs.
Pic courtesy of Amanda. We had nice drinks at a so called "Gay Bar" which serve lovely awesome Mojito's. No pictures of the guys. Go stalk on facebook yourself.
And then, Walgreen was on electrical appliance sale. And I went *big-eyed-crazy*. 5 bucks for everything. Rice cooker, toaster, whisker, waffle maker. And 10 bucks slow cooker, and blender. Gosh If only I did not already hav a rice cooker and slow cooker I so would have just save so much money. So then I need to rearrang my room furniture around so that the big table is near the electric outlet so that I can fit all the appliances on top.
And by doing that I may as well arrange all the food and snacks I have into one corner. And I was REALLY SHOCKED at the amount of junk food I have bought. No wander I gain 2 pounds. Like seriously I gain 2 pounds!
Now you know why.
Okay and now JUMP to a random topic. One of my babies is . . . . I won't call that sick. But more like, injured. Or rather, itchy. Hmmm...
So one day, I came home to see that Ferr (the hammie's name) is losing fur!! Around the neck area. So upon close observation, I realise she has been scratching her neck A LOT. So, differential diagnosis : 1) Fleas, 2) Eczema (allergies) 3) Physiological scratching. 4) Infection.
I don't think it is due to fleas, because the little thing has not come in contact with other animals (except for her sister), and the sister who share the same cage as her is not scratching at all. Can't be allergies too, because allergies will manifest as WHOLE BODY ICHING, not just the neck.
So throughout the week, I've been monitoring her. She went from losing fur, to scratchig her neck till it bled! And at one point of time there was a scab there from the wound, and she scratched that off too. Sigh. Now I don't really know if human antibiotics work on hamsters (I duwan to risk resistance). So I apply antiseptic cream on her neck 2 times a day.
See how my poor baby is suffering!!!!!!!!!!!!
If things get worse, I might consider bringing her to a vet. Although I don't think vets treat hamsters. And what the vet can do, I probably can as well.
Okay. Apart from the neck thingi, she is still very cute!!!
Cammy with mommy!
Rarr...
