To be honest, I never tasted meringue in my life. Until one fine Wednesday came along, and Ven decided to make meringue together. And my first reaction was actually . . .
I never tasted meringue in my life. How am I supposed to CREATE one???? Although how bad can it be right? It's just eggwhite and sugar. Nothing much can possibly go wrong. But still, what if I thought meringue was supposed to taste like eggy, and I get disappointed it didnt smell eggy?
So thank god Ven suggested we try meringue out before making one. And the first time meringue touched my mouth, it was at Alexis, Gardens, and it felt like I had the whole of heaven inside of me and I totally owned the universe. Haha. Too bad the piece only lasted 15 minutes, and its gonna cost another 15 bucks for another 15 minutes of heaven.
So we headed home, and whoalah, eggs out and sugar weight and next thing I knew was my tiring hands holding the electric beater for a good whole half an hour before the damn thing looks remotely like a meringue.
Ah success story is sweet. Too sweet indeed. Next time, less sugar for the meringue liao. Nguahahaha.
And I totally drank up leftover strawberry PUREE when all meringues and finished cos I simply lub lub lub strawberry (fresh ones though).
