Living up to my title of Princess of outdated-ness, finally a Langkawi post is up. Apart from swimming monkey's and jelly fishes, there're actually loads more to see in Langkawi.
There's the monkey hill. (don't ask me why everything's about monkeys). Actually, not monkey hill per se, was referring to the natural landscape, the mountains that can take any shape, be it looking like a monkey or a pregnant lady.
Monkey Hill
Mangrove swamp
We actually took a tour in the mangroves which require you to sit inside a boat for the entire day while the boat driver maneuver through the mangroves to bring you to places.
Sometimes, you even need to go through mini tunnels like this one.
We were also brought to a fish farm which was very interesting because it's the first time I've been to a fish farm. There are loads of fishies there. Even SHOOTING ones!!!!! (will elaborate on that further later).
Horse Shoe Crabbie!
Frankly speaking I never seen a shooting fish in my life. In fact I was never going to see one if it's not for this China tourist (who goes for mangrove swamp tours in big pink hats and colourful earrings *roll eyes*) who was squealing and screaming non stop. Her yells caught my attention and I turn to witness the shooting fish.
Check out the video of shooting fishes below. It's basically like this. The guy sticks a piece of bread to the side of the beam. And because the fishies like to eat bread, it shoots water at the bread so that it'll drop into the water. SUPER COOL!!!
Of course we had chances to see caves and rock formations and bats and more caves.
Langkawi after all is giving Unesco status for a reason.
The toilet in my hotel room is damn unique. In fact so unique I kinda didn't wanna shower in it the first day. The shower room is actually OUTDOORS. Walao, all the peeping toms in the world gets the privilege man. But after much convincing that NOONE will go to Langkawi just to peep at naked girls shower, I actually enjoyed the outdoor shower experience.
And while we were the, we manage to catch the fighter jets of LIMA (Langkawi International Martime and Aerospace something something) practising. Quite a sight. They were making upside down turns, and funny swaying patterns.
And I was such a tourist I took a gazillion pictures of them. Of course, the planes were all in minisizes. And there was one picture I thought looked like its from a movie poster, or some 2012 explosion in the sky or something like that.
Hehe. Sky explosion
I guess that's all from Langkawi. If you're interested in a REALLY ELABORATED post on our trip just check my sister's blog. She's a way more hardworking blogger than I am.
Adios.
