Clamydia Psittaci.

Pardon the very lame title. But I really was debating between putting Chlamydia or Bird bird. The latter sounds kinda obscene. So I chose the safer, under-18 title instead.

Non medical students out there. Let me explain. Chlamydia is a bacteria which can cause disease if transmitted to humans by birds. Why am I all birdy today?

Well. I defy my own self-proclaimed title of "Princess of Outdated-ness". I am now Up-To-Date. Just YESTERDAY I visited . . . . . . . (Technically its Yday cos by the time I publish this post its past 12am)

Too bad Daddy couldn't join us. I really wanted to go to the Sg Zoo, but we didn't had much time. So bird park seems like a perfect place for "tourist" like us. With only 3 hours to spare.

It's quite an eye opener. As usual, Sg is famous for OverDoingEverything. Which means the bird park is ten times better than you expected it to be. No bird droppings AT ALL. No smell. Plenty of green, nice layout, but extremely hot. Well I guess they can't do anything about the sun being so near the equator right?

There were so many different birds I kinda lost track what birds with saw. There were BIG BIG Birds . .
Oopss. Real birds that exist I mean. Do you know that the biggest bird on earth is named after the biggest mammal on earth. They're called the elephant bird. And they are SO HUGE!!

Elephant bird!!

There are so many other species of bird that you cannot imagine exist. Like how many different types of parrots are there. Gosh. I was really "eye scratched messy messy" (yan hua liao luan).

Mom was the brave one. Everytime we saw a nice bird wandering around carefreely, we'll be nudging each other to go near it. But sis n me were scary cats. Only mom bravely walk to those birds and squat next to them. Or put her finger near them.

Photobucket

Explains why only she gets nice pictures with birds as back grounds.

And of course, with the rare occasion you get retarded deformed birds that took so much resemblance to homosapiens because of the amount of time spent with them. Darwin's natural selection to survive in a world where homosapiens dominates.

Neh a retarded one for you. Tsk tsk. Quite pretty also right???

There were of course loads of shows going on. We were lucky enough to catch two of them. "Birds and Buddies" show was more about displaying talents of birds including flying through hoops, playing bball, and stealing people's money.

While "Kings of the Sky" intro-ed us to the carnivorous birds such as eagles and vultures.

I love this picture of the parrot flying through paper. I caught it using my camera's high shutter speed function where it takes multiple pictures of moving object hence allowing you to choose the nicest picture at the most suitable moment!!

I also saw the saddest thing in the bird park. Check this out.

Can any of you guess what this is?? Looks like dead tree branches yea?? But no it's not. It's a tragic. Tragic!!!!!

It's actually a peacock's feather!

This poor peacock was roaming around freely, hence it's feathers must have been trotted on by humans or other birds, and its all coming off. Poor thing. Worst part is, it saw a female peacock and was trying to attract it by fluttering it's feathers. But the female wasn't even interested!! Because the female is attracted by the number of eyes a male has in it's feathers. But this peacock has non, cos it has NO feathers.

Such a sad story!!!

Lets end this with a happy note alright. Guess what I have for supper every night??? Hehe.
