Holi-week again

By the day 5 of my holi-week, I had this irresistible itch that overwhelms my whole body to pay a visit to East Coast Park. I mean, I lived there for 2 years, and to make a trip back to Sg without visiting it is a SIN!! It's a CRIME!!

It's like a child with no loyalty to her parents. And I refuse to become that child!!!
So since I had free time in the morning before meeting the next group of people, I figured, why not wake up early and make a trip down??

And whoalaa, I hopped onto the train, change to a bus, and was cruising down the streets of Singapore on my way to East Coast Park. (Cruising is not really the accurate word actually, more like butt-aching).

The entire journey from the West (my aunt's place) took me ONE HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES. I kinda regretted not just hopping onto a cab that very instant.
I wanted to ask a friend to join me for a little walk/cycle that morning, but I figured it won't be very nice to just cycle together then ditch him when I meet my friend for lunch. Hence, it was an ALONE trip at the beach. Lolz.

The place never change. Its still the same ol'place I used to study, sail, paktuo, cycle, jog, BBQ, chalet-ing. I so missed it.

The little scary tunnel that brings you to the beach

It'll be impossible to walk the entire East Coast Park, especially when I fully intend to head to the Sailing Centre which is at the FAR CORNER of it. So I rented a bike, camwhored with it a little, and I'm on a cruise man!! Fine on a bike more like it. Lolz.

Passed by loads of greenery, and a wake-boarding simulator. So cool yea.

Look at the BLUE BLUE (greenish) SEA!!!!

I was very lucky, because it was VERY WINDY on that very day. Hence I didn't sweat much, didn't really feel hot at all. First thing that came to my mind when I noticed the strong wind was "damn, this wind is so good for Sailing, I wanna sail"

@ Bedok Jetty
Prove that the wind was very very strong that day. Even I felt like I had to resist the wind to cycle forth.

Let me bring you to the highlight of my little ECP excursion.

THE SAILING CENTRE!!!! I was frantically trying to spot to see if my boat/sail was still there. Tjc boat 10 and sail no.99 . Meh but cannot find. So sad. But I think they would've relabeled the boats since Tjc sold them out. (Sailing in TJC closed down 2 years after I left because there were no more good sailors to maintain TJC's position in the top 3).

Look at the cute lil Optimist sails.

There were sailing trainings going on, and I was trying my best to capture those boats out at sea. but they're too far out la. Best I can get is the 420 only, because they turned near short for a short period of time.

Totally didn't regret the morning work out cycle. Only downside is my poor feet kena red ant bite and it was red and swollen the entire trip afterwards.

For lunch, I had sushi buffet. It was a 3pm -5pm thing at Sakae Sushi.

I had 3 cups of cawanmushi and Me is super liking it.

Actually, I met up with the Alpha House Comm people. (Yea everything about me is Alpha lolz. Even exam grades *joking la I fail my exam last time wan*)

From Left : Hafiz (Logistics), Me (Sports Capt), Bevelin (Cheer Capt)

From left : Ben Lau (Sport Capt), Clement (Sports Capt)

In our house comm there are 5 sports capt, and I was the only FEMALE sports capt. Maybe cos I was so black, big, and sporty last time. Now I'm so fragile and frail man. Sighh.

Well everyone is still as crappy as usual. Actually SUPER Crappy!!!! All the nonsensical talks. After lunch, we were walking around aimlessly in CityHall. And to quote Clement : "I always walk around everywhere until I got ManJuGan (satisfaction) then I'll go home". Haha.

Nonsense la these people. JinJie (Logistics) joined us afterwards, but I didn't manage to get a picture of him cos we're all walking around hunting for Metrosexual clothes for Clement since he is taking MassComm (must dress the part marh).

It was a long evening, and I was travelling back to Bkt Batok when an sms came in. "Hey today Wed night ladies free flow of drink wanna head to ClarkQuay?" And I thought, hey, I haven't been to ClarkQuay so why not?

Because I had a half lunch half dinner, I headed to McD's to fill in the half empty stomach. And I tell you, Sg McD rawks because they have. . . . . .

Yeapz. CURRY NUGGET SAUCE!!!!!!!!!! Been trying to tell my friend in Msia that Curry sauce is the BEST BEST BEST Nugget sauce on earth, but Malaysia just doesn't have it I don't understand why. I was so tempted to DaBao a few packets home, if only I didn't carry such a mini bag which cannot fit anything.

But nonetheless, 6 pieces of nuggets and I finished the 2 whole packets of curry sauce. Best flavour on earth.

That concludes the day. If you ever go down to Singapore on a Wednesday nigth, go to DBL-O. Free flow of drinks for the ladies. Actually Elaine 1st intro this bar to me 2 years ago when I was in Sg with Lilian and Chloe and Ian. Lolz.
