Kundasang

Not many people has heard of this place, but here I present you with "Kundasang" (the lil red dot on the map)

We decided that Sandakan alone isn't enough to fulfill the worthiness of our air tickets, so Elaine's mom arranged a trip for us to Kundasang, a hilly place with cool chilling air and beautiful hill side scenery.

She booked a chalet like-resort for us to stay one night in, and also arranged a driver to bring us there and back. My oh my, the ride there was about 5 hours.

FIVE HOURS IN AN MPV IS A KILLER!!!

Most of them got car sick (especially those sitting at the back). Lilian and Elaine were having a cozy time fondling with each other's feet as they cross exchange them to lie down horizontally at the back seat. Lilian being a very shy camera person

Did I mention 5 hours being cramped up is such a killer? Geowin is so lucky to get the front seat. And thank GOD I've got an Ipod to listen to.

Our resort is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. -fullstop-

There really isn't much to describe about. It is just like any other chalet-resort. 3 rooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, a porch, and a veranda.

Only difference is that we get really cute visitors from time to time. *will talk about it later*

Minutes after arriving at our chalet, we drove out to buy ingredients for a BBQ at night. Went to a small town nearby called Ranau where there is a night market to purchase raw meat, fish balls and all the BBQ necessities. Ranau's night market is really unique. It isn't like the usual night markets we have here in KL. Most of the stalls sell vegetables and they don't sell Sweet potatoes or Corn (because we were searching for those and couldn't find it anywhere)

And BBQ started with our 2 chefs warming the stove, and doing all the cooking.

Food food food!!!

As usual, we over bought the chicken wings, just like in Langkawi. Nontheless we managed to finish off most of the other food. So give a good guess what's for breakfast the next morning?

These dogs are so so so CUTE!! and very tame too. We fed them with leftover chicken bones and sausages and they just keep coming. Labrador inspired dog even let us touch him! Awww.
