As for an outdated post, nothing beat being more outdated than blogging about Sandakan.
Hehe, it's only been a month (gosh how time flies) so better late than never right?
Sandakan is the second-largest city in the state of Sabah, East Malaysia, on the north-eastern coast of Borneo. On the map, it looks like this, there you go, sitting right at the eyes of the doggie!!
Lo and behold, the land of the doggie's eye!! (* I am lame*)
It is basically a very peaceful small town, in which some might claim boring, but I should say I really enjoyed every bit of my time there, because it was very relaxing and easy go lucky.
We lodged at Elaine's house in which her mom is a very very very generous and kind host, making sure we were all well fed and comfortable.
To slowly tell you bit by bit of my Sandakan trip will definately put you off to sleep in a jiffy. So I will kindly omit unnecessary information and just write up about what I found interesting (It's an excuse for being lazy actually).
Sandakan is all about FOOD. yes yes. FOod FooD and fOoD. Most importantly of all, SEAFOOD. (Nowander mom said I looked fatter when I got home).
We had seafood almost every meal, tried pepperish bak kut teh, tried kolo mee Sandakan style, had load and loads of "ling mong ping" ice lemonade, and well, of this as well..
There were lots of food there in which you can never find in west malaysia. Yummy food. Like these.
Despite the nothing-to-do-ness in the small peaceful town, we had loads of fun. Because we were so good at doing nothing. I mean, we were so good at seeking for our own entertainment.
And bowling too. Bowling in Sandakan is really high tech I tell you. Instead of automatically computerising your score, they give you a sheet of paper and a pencil to manually tabulate the points. High tech betul. Thankfully Kher Lik knew about score keeping, esle we'll be throwing balls for nothing.
Elaine, being a nice friendly host, made us dinner one night. (more food food food)
Yepz, she was the cook for the night.
What more to do in Sandakan?? Well, of course a visit to all the main tourist attractions!! In which is going to appear soon in this blog.
Yes yes, reallllllllll soon, because I am getting sleepy now. =)
Adios. Till then.

Cards sessions (and the beer too)
