Private =)

Hello everyone, 


Probably is wondering why I wanna be so discrete about this blog. Actually, I don't want to take chances in residency application because just in case they "google" me. Better be safe then sorry haha. 


It has been snowing every other day in Philadelphia. And every other time it snows, I try using my palm to catch the little flurries. Most of the time, it will just be droplets of ice-crumbs. 

I have never seen Philadelphia so beautiful, and so ugly at the same time. White coats of snow after snow after snow after snow. Pretty pretty pretty. But after snow is just plain, dirty, slushy and wet. 

But because I super determine to re-capture the moment I had in China when I experience snow for the first time. 

I like how I camouflage in the whiteness of the picture. 


And I realise that, the second batch of flurries are usually lighter, and have flakey appearances!

Ahhhhhhhhhh. Pretty!!


Anyways, I found a bag of potatoes named after me!

And made my 2nd mini snowman. (1st one was made in China with my sis)

Going Private

This is a big decision to make, but it's one worth making. And it is about time to make this decision too. It is after all about time, and just about the right time to make this choice.

This blog is going private in starting next month or so.

On a side note. I wonder why some people like to include excessive amounts of profanities in their blogs. It just makes reading not pleasant anymore. 

Moving on with life.

It snowed so much here in Philly. Snow snow snow snow snow. Every other day also snow. Making it so distracting to concentrate during round in hospital because I keep staring out the window. All the fluff. 


Internal Medicine is super awesome so far. I like it because I am interested in it. Bias. Haha.

Reality

You know. I was warned that this would happen. Severely warned. Everyone that I've known that studies overseas warned me. But I never thought it would happen to me so badly (Never did when I was in Sg. Maybe distance is the cause, maybe I am more mature now). I was wrong. They told me the very first time you step on that airplane, you never think of going home. But the very first time you take that flight home, and return, you'll feel like crap, for up to a month (quoting people from experiences). Well I am feeling it. Especially when all I got was a 2 week break to last me for another year. 


I am homesick. But glad that I am only a human being. Haha


I miss the unhealthy oily food, which looks disgusting half of the time but taste so so so good.  This is a picture of Fry Hokkien Mee. When Jessica asked me for dinner one day, all I could think of was eating road side food instead of camping at nice restaurants. Haha. And I finished the entire plate, my-oh-my.

Most of all, I miss my family. 

We embarked on a 5 days trip to ber-visit-visit and celebrate christmas. This is grandmother from mommy's side.

I remember last time, when we always would travel down to Penang and Kampar for a "day" trip just to see grandmothers. Was really glad to be a able to do that. Unfortunately I did not see my paternal grandmother cos she is in Johor, but I did meet a very cute, grown up individual.

Such a big boy. Such a cutie!! He was just a baby when I last saw him. *clicks*

I had a lovely christmas eve celebrating with my cousins. As Buddhists we almost never celebrate christmas. We do it just for the fun of having dinner together, or as an excuse to hang out with friends. My cousin brother in law (aisehhh, first time saying this cos they just got married haha) Danny's family bought a new BBQ set and wanted to test it out. So we had roast chicken and sausages with chinaman-tofu (for the sake of being chinese) and beef (in which I didn't touch) for a pre-christmas trial-run-of-the-set party.

Ahhhhhh, blogging about Msia puts a smile on my face. And digs a pit in my stomach too. Rarrrr.
