ice lemon tea

i realised i've been a very hard-working blogger.. 16 POSTS just in the month of JANUARY!! blame it on the darn-boring-holidays.. well at least i have things to do to blogs about.. ha ha..

i cant wait for skul to start.. i'm sick-and-tired of slacking my time away.. lazy to work lazy to do anything but go out w ppl n shop shop shop.. which all sums up to = spending money.. den i'll feel all guilty about it again.. DAMN it man.. life juz sucks..

well today was my ice-lemon-tea making day.. and because i was too extremely bored.. i got my sis to take pictures of the entire process.. now now i believe everyone noes how to make ice lemon tea right?? its so BLOODY SIMPLE.. ha ha.. well i den photoshoped the pics using pwp (cos my comp dun hav photoshop )

I need to get A LOT A LOT of things before the CNY sales end.. Unfortunately i dun think i have the type of money to spend.. so SAD.. but i'll try my very very best to purchase everything on my shopping list with my very tight budget.. ( buy quality but CHEAP stuff ) must make FULL USE of the sales now.. hunt for the "50% 70%" labels..

Damn it man.. i recently came across a few fren's blog.. wah.. i read their posts ah like everyday spent money wan.. either go "YAMCHA" at some high class place la.. or buy accessories from places like TOPSHOP FOREVER 21.. or buy clothes from ZARA MANGO.. can even afford shoes n bags from GUESS? leh.. make me so jealous oni.. the very the poor me n ke lian me kenot afford to plent lidat la.. i wonder how come they buy so many things their mom dun scold wan ( my mom wont scold me oso la, but cos i dun alwiz buy much tings ).. even i buy a lot of things i will feel GUILTY man.. so i dun usually spent so much.. but when i see ppl's wardrobe the girl in me will feel jealous n make a mental note to start buying things again.. SIGH.. its so difficult to be a girl man..

anywayz.. big huge sigh here man.. actually me n jess jess plan tomolo go down town to shop shop a bit.. buden due to miscommunication hor.. the plan keep changing.. den it continue changing n changing.. and because i need to collect my ielts result too.. i need to accomodate it into my time table.. so things became very messy over transportation.. parents permission and haihz.. wanna shop oso so difficult.. i think hor life in msia is damn tough if 1stly, u dun hav a car, 2ndly u need to get parents approval and 3rdly, you have a fren which has the exact 2 criterias mentioned..

butz i kenot "fui sam" (give up) as a girl i must fight for my shopping rights.. worse come to worse the whole thing cancel den we juz do some baking in jess jess's hse la.. thats the very sad case thingi la.. or we go splatter our money at one utama.. (which has all the i've-seen-b4-stuff plus not-so-cheap) if reli the no choice la.. or not i drag my mommy go with me alone la.. (not so fun lo) haihz.. so sien so troublesome..

so now the decision is still pending dats y i got so much free time to blog about my frustration.. waiting for my dad to decide when he free to fetch us there and jess jess dad to approve and everything.. den my dumb dad is so damn annoying keep procrastinating his decision.. like wanna tell den duwan tell.. summore at 1st so frenlily volunteered to fetch us there.. PRETENCE.. FAKE.. den when i ask further he scold saying "y must u make such minor things ur priority" "pressuring everyone to ur selfish needs" BLOODY TWO-SIDED man.. den keep saying "thursday we go with you la" (dun he bloody understand i wanna shop with FRENS not a father who have no taste in clothes at all) walao eh FAN SI REN LA!! i dun understand why FATHERS must make themself so bloody annoying.. try to be friendlier a bit la can.. be lik MOMS.. understanding and lik a friend.. not act COOL and think you determine my life.. DATS NOT THE WAY IT WORKS MAN.. i'm juz so pissed now man.. reli can't tahan when such things happen.. damn it man.. my good looking-forward-to-shop-mood when i started typing this mood it lik totally gone.. haihz..

February is so going to be a happening month for me man.. i've been rotting at home whole of Jan.. so Feb is gonna be a new start ( not exactly new la but yea.. )

events in FEB :
1. Chinese NEW YEAR!!! yea man.. those red packets ( though the money inside seems to be shrinking every year )
2. Driving!! (sigh a bit late i noe.. but oledi 2 yrs late so late a bit bit bit more oso dun matter rite )
3. Uni starting!! ( ppl dreading for hols i dreading for start of school.. WIERD hor!! )

Spring!!!

its nearly spring.. flowers are starting to blossom.. winter came late this yr.. so spring was late as well ( which made spring cleaning LaTe as well )

ha ha.. as u would have guessed.. today was spring cleaning day.. oh well.. i kinda dun see the point in spring cleaning so intensively when my hse is oledi squeeeeky clean.. (but my mom keep insisting that every corner of the hse should be swept mop wiped)

we started out with the master bed room.. oh well apart from the dirty aircons n fans ( which r definately bound to get dirty again ) everything else was pretty much clean (thx to my hardworking mom) and everything was done quite fast.. btw i found my baby cot under my parents bed still in perfect working condition.. kinda surprise it still exist and hehe.. hard to imagine i once slept in that tiny space.. ( Aw how sentimental )

well our spring cleaning was interrupted by a few badminton match (those on malaysian open).. too bad the men's singles din make it through final.. but the women's singles and men's doubles (they got gold) of the malaysian team made it dat far.. and those matches are must watch'ss..

ah well.. i found my baby pram in the guest room too.. (its a wonder how my parents keep such things for 19 yrs) well dad said it was a pity to throw or give it away and will juz keep it for my childrens in future (keke.. can save those money for more clothes)

so our spring cleaning day ended with a duck rice dinner.. yum yum.. but its to be continued next saturday.. aw.. ( poor me )

My recently very bored days were accompanied by Mr Jack Bauer in the series "24" . Special Thanks to the 2 retards who help me download n burn this series. (dvd doesn'y work on player btw )

To be honest I'm only watching the 1st season.. or rather just finished. Its quite tiring trying to catch up with the show all the time.. but its so addictive u gotta stay n finish it no matter how tiring it is..

i'm currently taking a break from the 2nd season.. shall embark on 2nd season few days later..

btw the story is great n to those who enjoy thrillers and investigation - its a must watch..

IL DIVO

well i'm not exactly their big fan.. but my dad managed to get complimentary passes to their concert which was held yesterday at the kl convention centre!! and the tix he had was super VIP.. in the royal box.. same row as the Agong!! super WOW!!

actually the concert was nice.. butz their genre of songs aren't exactly my kinda song.. the 1st ten minutes was lik WHOA WHOLA NICE!! den it was the same wow-ness over n over till i got kinda sien watching it.. but hey!! for 1k per tix i'm not gonna complain (though its free anywayz)

i was kinda surprised at the show performance.. it was, well not very nicely planned.. well.. 1stly the ildivo members were toking to one another when it wasnt their turn to sing, and well carlos's powerful voice was way too loud till sebastion gotta ask him to soften down TWICE.. how embarrassing.. plus the orchestra ppl juz threw their scripts on the floor making it so untidy noe..

but well, it was a nice experience n an eye opener.. hopefully my dad can get hold of more of such tix in the future

celebrity fitness

Upon recieving a 14 day free trial, jess jess n me gleamed for joy.. our boredom problem now has a solution -- work out at the gym..

advantages : build stamina, lose weight,tone muscles , kill time, have fun

so we plan to try out every program they have, or rather most of the programs they have.. at 8 in the morning we were there trying out hartha yoga by instructor anna.. well i alwiz tot yoga was suppose to be relaxing n some form of meditation.. turns out its quite a tough work out.. you gotta balance yourself pivoting on one arm n one leg in some funny position ( god my arm was so tired ).. den stretch inner thigh muscles and hamstrings ( ow my lack of flexibility gave me probs here ).. finally she showed us some back relaxation ( but arm torture cos u gotta support ur entire weight based solely on ur arms ).. by the time the one hour session ended i sorta felt a lil muscle sore ( not tat intense la )

ah well.. den came fun step.. ( which me n jess jess hapily skipped cos we were tired ) and den ABT by instructor joseph.. ah.. this was some compact leg workout making us step up step down den bend kness hold it there bend again up bla bla bla.. we excaped after being in there half an hour cos it was too straineous on the knee..

ha ha i totally enjoyed the hip hop routine which was after the ABT conducted by instuctor jimmy.. it was fun n nice.. music was good.. moves were groovy.. and fast and compact too.. so by the time i've dance finished a 1 minute routine i was all sweating and panting.. but hey.. i liked it..

last one we attended was some jazz dance.. ah well.. this instructor ( lili ) taught too fast.. and jazz moves need some time to master.. so well, i was kinda all chicken feet.. i was lik "ok 1 2 3 4 right left pump up turn n WHAT? hold on whoa.. faster slow 3 n 4 hey turn right or left? wait too fast!! oh NO 3 steps? 4? hello?? " gosh.. totally din enjoy it.. i was tensed n stressed cos i dun have basic jazz background n its hard catching up with their turns or pumps..

anywayz.. after i headed back home i gobbled a whole meal of grill mcchicken foldover.. so much for burning calories.. haha

OOOH Make up Make over

i FINALLY got my eye liner today.. after yearning it for like erm.. 3 weeks?? to tell the truth, 3 weeks ago when i opened my cupboard i found myself in SHOCK.. my liquid eye liner was as solid as a rock... BIG NOOOOO... and my mascara was terribly dry..

So i made a mental note to myself that i need to get new stocks of such necessities.. ha ha.. i just bought my mascara last week.. dear alicia n junwei were lik embassadors for maybeline's XXXXXL promoting it lik crazy so i juz listen to them loo.. bought wan last week.. n today guardian had a store wide 15% discount on all make up of every brand.. hmmm so i pampered myself to an eyeliner.. ha ha.. but this time.. pencil ones!! no more liquid for me.. its harder to apply, takes more patience and dries up lik ethanol.. haihz.. n more expensive too.. dear pencil eyeliner oni cost 16.90 (beams)..

actually to be honest my make up collection is pathetic.. i only have ONE of each item with the exception of lipgloss and eyeshadows.. ppl ard me seem to have dozens of everything.. sigh (so jealous)

oh n i finally tidy up my cupboard to make space for my make-uppies.. i took a picture of my pathetic collection too..



haihz so pathetic hor.. i even put cotton swaps in to make the pic look a lil crowded.. ha ha..

i finally finished my ielts test.. not that is dat difficult or anything but erm.. they ask wierd ques lik debate on the uni's role of providing education.. i was lik WTF.. i am not even in uni yet.. ah nvm.. luckily i only need to crap out ans for 250 words..
anyway the purpose of this post is not for some insignificant test, but rather an annoying dad.. DAMN BLOODY ANNOYING..

the reunion of tuition buddies

so as usual, four extreme leng lui's (excuse me for the overly self praise here ) were reunited under the roof of one utama.. ha ha.. but dun be decieved by looks ladies n gentlemen for these four young ladies do not care a single thing about look and size.. cos we all ate at the all well-known-fatty-oily-mcdonalds.. ( actually its very much because of the price ).. hehe..

My Mom's 50th Bday

Time really flies.. my mom stepped into the 5th decade of her life today..

although her age dictate one half of a century.. her mind n heart is actually as lively as a teenager.. my mom use to be a strict rule-abiding parent.. alwiz scolding and spanking me when i was young for any misconduct in behaviour.. but ever since i went to spore, she seemed to have changed.. now she's more open minded.. willing to accept and listen to my problems..

well i have to say she is definately my role model.. we seem to be able to click easily.. lik friends.. i love you mom

my mom and all her pressies.. the flowers from my dad.. the wallet (braun buffel) from me n sis. cost me a bomb there.. plus a simple last minute card.. (keke.. not free ma.. )

our whole family.. with the swensen cake.. it was yummilicious!!!

Fresh Start..

Moving blog is like shifting to a new house.. You gotta find a suitable address (url in this case), furnish it nicely (find a nice skin), give it a nice name (i used back the old one), then slowly start spilling in the contents..


Of course, alongside come the nostalgic feeling, whereby u kinda refuse to let go of the past (old blog), you wanna hang on, but part pf u is getting ambitious about how u wanna re-do ur life, re-make n revamp a new wan (blog in this case)..

ok cut the dramatic feelings for now.. we shall pay a tribute to the lovely friendster blog that has accompanied me throughout the past 2 yrs..

Who Am I?

Greetings,

I am Pei-Wen. Born on a fine afternoon of 27th May 1987.

Currently located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, but born and raised in Malaysia. I lived 2 years of my life in Singapore, and that was a lifetime experience I would never trade anything for. I cheered, I sailed, I lived my college life. However the United States has presented to me opportunities I have never dared to dream before, and I am very thankful for everything I have.


Looking back, I realize that a big part of being who I am today was influenced by my family. Without their support and encouragement, especially when times are down, I will not be who I am today. Although the journey is only halfway completed, I look forward to the steep uphill climb in the next few years of my life, because I know, no matter what, I have people around me who love me and support me for what I do.


Life is short. Live it without regrets.
