The Journey
I had some time to myself post-shelf, and was calculating numbers. Wow. We've been here for a good 11 months away from home, still surviving, and successfully overcoming every challenge after challenge. I take pride in the independence I never knew I had, and the little family-friendship connection that the 3 of us has. Without any one of the 2 Malaysian here with me, my life would've been miserable.
*hearts lay queen* *hearts my bf*
Tomorrow marks the first day of our final rotation. The last 12 weeks of third year. One big push to last till the end. One small exam to take in between, one big exam to take in the end. And Step 2CK, CS plus jeff's OSCE. I believe we are there, and we can do this.
For the weekend before our last rotation, we decided to spend the long weekend on a short vacation. And it was indeed a good break that was very needed to recharge us for the next major push. Kinda like recharging fuel into a moving car to accelerate faster.
Looking forward to June 31st. Our next mini-break, our next vacation, our next big step in life!

Of birthdays! =)
We have a bunch of people turning 23 this year (sadly not me sobs sobs sobs)
First up we have Lily and Sophia!!
First up we have Lily and Sophia!!
Siyi (the amazing chef I look up to so much) bakes a lovely almond flavour sponge cake and decorated it so beautifully. (and it's okay, noone can tell the oranges and pineapples apart)
But I think the cake I bake is also not bad leh.
I am joking! We on the other hand, with no skills whatsoever in making a presentable cake, settled for buying a cake instead. Haha. Whoever fell for the "I baked this cake" must clearly overestimated my skills.
While the girls are happily admiring and eating cake, the boys decided to be . . . . .. . .
. . . . . gay
Next up we have . . . . . . . Okay pictures still in my camera. The bday girl will still KEEEL me knowing I've been too busy to upload those pics. Next post I guess

Paris in Philly.
Or so they claim. But all I saw was the kaki of a huge Paris landmark (Eiffel tower).
This was Philadelphia's International Flower Show.
It was held at the Philadelphia convention centre, and my oh my, I didnt know something this huge could fit inside the little halls of the centre.
The exhibitions were - - - - breathtaking.
Everything in this hall was made out of FRESH FLOWERS. FRESH!!!!
Flower merry go round.
Flower Hanging Lights!
Flower bed room.
Flower flower flower
Dining table.
Flower garden! (duh la right, garden is memang flowers)
The first sakura flowers I've ever seen in my life were in the convention centre. Kinda epic fail. But hey, they are real!!
Flower living room
Flower dresses/outfits
Phantom of the Opera exhibit. Nais!
I was so tempted by all the floral plants there, I got tempted and bought a plant too. Kinda weird. But, now my room have another breathing element (except it breaths our O2)

Update!
We have visitors from home. It is kinda nice to have a whole gang of friends ranting around the dinner table all speaking in manglish and understanding one another in our broken mixture of english and every other language.
WheiYing and Justin are LayQueen's friend, visiting from Malaysia to do a 2 month elective in NY, and they were nice enough to pop by philadelphia for a visit.
I can totally tell everyone is lightened off their burden temporarily when these two familiar faces arrived!
So we brought them around to explore Phladelphia (my 3rd time!) and snapped pictures. I am amazed by YinnCher's knowledge of American history. Everytime they ask me some historical question of a landmark, I just stare back blankly and say "I dunno" and YinnCher will take over.
With the barely-visible-liberty bell behind us.
Some memorial thingi to remember ppl who sacrificed their lives in the navy.
It was a lovely day in the winter/spring to walk outside. Not too cold, but poor WheiYing was not used to the weather, so we had to camp inside McD for a break. But we were very unfortunate that their hot chocolate + hot coffee machine broke down. So we only could order cold drinks, which pretty much freezed us when we step back outside.
PennsLanding skating ring
WheiYing bullying me!!
CityHall + Ben's Butt.
And finally! Aspiring physicians to be.
ps : YinnCher is not in most pictures because he is the camera guy!! Haha
