New Year Resolutions

New year is coming!!

As usual, resolutions are a must. It’s becoming a growing trend around here ( in the blogging sphere).

Well, since I’ve deleted my old blog, there’s no way I could access what resolutions I’ve made for this year. But lucky ol’ me, I did take a *snap shot* of that old blog before I leave. But it was mostly yr 2006’s resolution. Yr 2007’s resolution was only captured half way.

Nonetheless, less take a peeky peek and review how I perceived this year to be.

Yr 2006’s resolution was.

1) try eat fruits everyday. (If drinking fruit juice count I guess I qualify)

2) be consistent in school work (No, no, No, no, No ,no)

3) spent less (even bigger NOOOO)

4) keep my room fairly and moderately clean at all times (staying at home made this possible now. Thanks to my MOM!! )

5) improve more on sailing (I’ve to say I deproved tremendously a lot!! DUHHH)

6) try not to break any part of my boat (OF COURSE, never sail liao how to break)

7) remember everyone’s birthday (erm. NO. sorry pals. Med takes up a lot of memory space)

8) take care of my skin ( oh well, I’m not charcoal black now. Its an improvement right? )

9) cut weight back to 54 kg ( SUCCESS!! I’m only like 50 now? Gosh can u imagine I used to be like 56kg?!?! FAT FAT FAT)

10) improve 2.4km timing. (NO WAY. I think I cant even run 1.6km now)

11) be able to do standard pull up (forget this one lar)

12) be contented with what I have ( yea I’m super contented in my condition)

13) get my dad buy me new phone. (I’ve been stuck with that new phone for ages)

14) score well in JCT. (huh? What JCT?)

15) finish the nonsense I’ve subconsciously bought ( hell yea!! Except I dun buy them now, my mom does)

Well Well Well, as u can see 2006’s resolution is definitely not applicable in any manner anymore. So outdated.

Lets peek at 2007’s resolution.

1) spent less (yet again, big failure )

2) make more friends in IMU as make sure life there is as enjoyable as in spore (Friends I’ve got a lot, life for me, is enjoyable, not as enjoyable as in spore, but still good enough for me)

3) exercise regularly and keep fit. (No sadly.)

Okay.

I’m done with past reviews. Now to come up with new ones. I’ll keep it to 8 resolutions this yr. 2008 ma. So 8 lor. 8 is a good number in Chinese anyway.

1) Spent less (How come this appears in every year’s resolution)

2) Pass all major exams without having to re-sit

3) Exercise more often and not only during IMU cup

4) Finish my cross-stitch thingi

5) Learn how to sing and play the piano concurrently

6) Do not loose my wallet AT ALL (dun laugh friends)

7) Drive safely without any accidents

8) Pamper Mr. Prince Charming. (guitar la, no bf OKAYY)

Yay, let see how closely I will keep to this. And review it again end of next year.

*keeping my fingers crossed*

Pangkor

"Overlap established, give water!"

Those words escape my throat

Hurling my body to the starboard side of the boat, hands tugging frantically at the mainsheet while giving the boat a good jerk, I rounded the buoy without contact, only to find myself yet again hanging on for dear life when the boat swerve around, eyes looking for telltail signs, body moving with the rhythm of the waves.

Sitting at the balcony of my hotel, many of such flash backs invade my mind as I stared into the great greenish-blue ocean.

It's been so darn long since I took a plunge into the sea, since I felt free and worry-less in the middle of the ocean, bobbing around with the waves.

Whoever decided to go to Pangkor was a genius. (waitaminute, I think that was me *grins*)

The whole trip was no doubt a relaxing one. The sound of the lapping waves for one thing definately erased all your worries. (maybe I'm just a sea person)

After the hour long ferry ride to the little island, we were greeted a warm welcome by our B-E-A-UTIFUL hotel room

Almost fit for a princess aint it?

Presenting the princess

A spontaneous cam-whore in the bathroom!!That's not all. Wait till you see the view from our balcony. Its stunning. Jaw-dropping. MAGNIFICENT.
Morning viewAfternoon viewEvening view
Night view

Now tell me why else am I enjoying this trip so much. I've got a amazing princess room to slack in, a beautiful view to sip tea and do nothing, and perfect gossip company (that'll be my mom).

Tell you what else I like about this island. The colour PINK.
"Eh? Pangkor and pink? link?!?!?!"

I tell you this island caters to me so much it has PINK CABS!!

It matches my shirt!!!! **loves loves**

Okay. Now that I have completely fallen in love with Pangkor, guess what makes lil Pei-Wen even happier?!?!

SEA SPORTSSSSSSS!!!!!

I don't even know where to start on that. Rawks totally coming with your family, cos daddy pays all the bills so basically you can try ANYTHING you want!

KayakingSailingJet-skiingPancake/Banana boatSnorkelling

I even get to drive the power boat around. Without license okayyy!!!

And of course, when you bring a group consisting majority of girls. You tend to go SHOPPING!!!

That made mom very happy. She managed to "auntily" purchase Pangkor stuff at bargained prices, while me and my sister just happily stuff junk food into her basket, making us very happy too.

Don't ask me why am I so excited bout this fish.
I will say this is a very fruitful holiday indeed. It made me bond with my mom well. When my sister and my dad takes their usual noon naps, me and mom will sit by our very-beautiful-view-balcony and sip tea, while we gossip about everything under the sun.

We even talked about boyfriends and cute guys. Awesome mom yea? But she made me realise that I am DARN lousy at boyfriends. Like amazingly hopeless kind. Depressing.

Well, we wanted to go for a spa at the hotel. But unfortunately we didn't have the time. 3 days is kind of short to be spent in Pangkor. Especially when your dad is paying for you to try EVERYTHING.

Instead we took pictures with hornbills during their feeding hours. And attempted the foosball ( in which I assure you we are VERY AMAZINGLY LOUSY)And had yummilicious seafood!!

I guess that about all we did in that short span of 3 days. It left me feeling all nostalgic and depressed actually, in the journey on the way home.

But I'm glad for the short break. =)

We stopped by Kampar to visit my grandmother, Ipoh for salted duck and Pomelo.

And thus our holiday ended.

When the big bright yellow sun takes a plunge into the ocean, its brings along with it all your worries and sorrow, leaving calm and peace behind. That is the time whereby your mind drifts into a daze. Thats what sleeping and dreaming is all about.

of friday night performances, new hair colour, and christy's christmas party.

Friday Night

Friday night performances are, lets say, an eye opener.

For your information, Friday Night is an annual event organized by the students of International Medical University to show cast the talents in the performing fields within the student body. Friday Night was actually on the 14th of December. (I'm a little out dated here)

No one would ever suspect that medical students, supposedly being classified as nerd, geeks, jerk whatever, can have talents even in the musical field. And I'm not only referring to a few of them, in fact, there are a handful who actually have the substance to perform.

You have no idea how many times my jaw dropped that night. When that pro guy played the piano piece by mozart-or-chopin-or-whoever so passionately, or when the whole crowd of violinist started synchronizing in melody, or when some girl sang with her amazingly powerful voice, or when this fellow played and sing on the piano.

I went Oh My Gosh like ten thousand times. Instantaneously I wished I could play the violin, or the bass, or be as professional as that pianist. Or maybe just be a little wee bit A LOT MORE talented.

video's of my performance can be found on my facebook. =) don't get disappointed yea, I'm just pretending to make myself useful on the keyboard!!

New Hair Colour

I've gone from a brown haired girl with blonde streaks, to a red head girl. I know I did claim my previous colour to be red, but somehow it sort of faded to become this dark brown shade, and a unsightably ugly black crown form on the top.

And this time, my hair turned out red-der than it previously was. So I am by right a certified red-head girl now.

Except it'll be another half a year before the horrible black crown starts showing again.

I did not take any picture of my new hair colour. But if you would like to see the difference, compare my previous pictures to the ones I'm gonna post about Christy's Party.

Christy's Christmas Party

Christy's Christmassy Christmas Party. Christy's Christmassyful Christmassy Christmas Party.

I like saying that. Its almost like a tongue twister. Christy and Christmas. Maybe she is a Christmas Snowman Santa kinda person to have such a name.

I have never been to a proper Christmas party before I have to admit. This one was a party alright, complete with home-made yummilicious roast turkey, a tall christmas tree with proper presents under it (not just empty pretentious boxes), and a proper crowd to minger around in.

Okay not exactly an ideal crowd since half of my friends are at home slaving away to the upcoming exams. But enough to make it a decently fun party.

Oh big thanks to Christmassy Christy for the wonderful night. I really love your mom's turkey. Beat those ready made restaurant turkey anyday.

Christmas shopping

Ignorant about her surrounding, she buried her head into the Meg Cabot book that her good friend had lent her.

Just when she was about to lift her head to glance at the watch on her wrist, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Heart starting to beat at odd beats, she brought herself to turn around, only to find a young man, a lil shorter than her, scrawny built, looking suspiciously anxious.

The young man whispered " Maaf Cik, tapi saya fikir ada orang sedang mengikuti Cik, yang budak pakai baju merah. Baik berwaspada handbag Cik. "
(translation : Sorry Miss, but I think the guy in red shirt is following you. Do take care of your handbag)

She froze. Hair close to a ninety degree stand. Feeling extremely uncomfortable about the situation, she smiled a weak smile.

"Terima kasih" (translation : Thank you)

Upon reflex, she turned to peek at the red shirt guy. He has long curly hair, and look like a retard.

Then wiping off whatever cold sweat on her forehead, she double checked for her wallet, her hand phone, her IC, whatever she may risk losing. And then, it was as though her legs automatically transported her from the head of the train station to the other end.

Finally the train arrived. She boarded the cabin and continued her Meg Cabot.

From one corner of her eye, she spotted the retard red shirt guy. In the same cabin, although he was supposed to be at the other end initially.
Anxiously waiting for her destination to arrive, when it finally did, she ran as fast as her URS sandals could bring her.

Yea, that is exactly what happened to me taking the KTM to MidValley. I never liked the KTM. Freaking train takes forever to come, and the train doors are like so phewny for the exchange people at every stop. Plus the train travel at a speed whereby my grandpa can beat it on a bicycle.

But it was a fruitful day today. Managed to finish my Christmas shopping. I LOVE Christmas shopping. It gives me an excuse to do what I like best. Shop. And its shopping for others, therefore no guilt about spending money for self indulgence.

Did I mention how much I love giving presents? And receiving them too? **hint**hint**

Its wonderful, being able to buy gifts and exchange with people.

Oh but buying gifts for GUYS are such a pain in the ass. You have no idea what guys need because they simply like nothing. What a fussy gender.

Nonetheless I love the shopping part.

My daddy had a gift exchange thing in his office as well in conjunction with Christmas. And guess what he got?

Imagine a fifty one years old business man in a smart looking suit and tie, WITH A TEDDY BEAR?!!?!?????
Its sooooooooooooooooo mine now!! BLEAHHKKK

Univeresity Hospital and Santa Hats

I almost forgot I have this to blog about, if not for this particularly attention grabbing picture!

KAWAIIII. Oh yea, they are Santa Hats. Hand made by Chloe and Me!! Merry Christmas people!!

Ho ho ho..
Why the suddenly wu-liao-ness to make such retarded looking santa hatties?!?!?!?!

Its because we were at University Hospital helping out May Quan cheer up the lil children in ward P6. So she came up with this art and craft idea to make lil santa hatties which are absoloutely adorable. I can't help but feel so proud of mua-self.

Actually the santa hatties are meant for the lil kiddies to made for themselves. Unfortunately, most of them are too sick to leave their bedsides. And its troublesome to teach them at their bedside. At one attempt Chloe spill glue all over the foot of one kid's bed. So we decided to mass make them and then distributed them around.

One mommy put the santa hatty on her lil baby. And ooh, how adorable the lil young soul look. Its totally melts my heart. Kawaiiiiiii-des!!!!!

I am going back there again next wednesday!! Yay!! No more santa hatties this time. But there will be a guitar some sem 3 guy is bringing. We'll look forward to singing with those kiddies!!

skarlet

We brought Chloe to her first time clubbing session at the skarlet.

"Can she even enter??" -- Yes
"Did the bouncer stop her or anything?" -- Yes
"Can she drink ?" -- No
"She dances right? " -- Absolutely

There you go, I've saved you some question asking.

It wasn't much fun, but it wasn't so bad after all. Chloe's quite fun on the dance floor. And Lilian's friend Maggie has the stamina of a robot. She just won't stop.

Apart from that, nothing really happened besides the usual. Oh, if you were to meet Chloe or Lilian or anything, they would've probably blurted out to you that some GIRL try to hit on me.

UUUuurrrggggghhhHHHHH. I am disgusted I don't even want to describe it.

And we met this cute fella by the name of Nicholas. Now we're all regretting we didn't take his number of picture or anything. Haha

Pictures. of course.

Anyway purpose of this post is because I googled a picture of a vixen and its all CUTE AND FUZZLY AND EVERYTHING so i need an excuse to post it up..

James Bond daddy

Now I finally know why my parents refuse to let me go away this weekend for my Singapore trip.

I mean its Zouk-Out exactly today, but my parents insist I stay at home to take care of my sister because they have some dinner going on. Ah, but that's just an excuse. Since gods know what time, I've been busy going around helping my mom with her clothes, with MY jewelry, My make up.

And helping my dad impose as James Bond!

Lo and Behold.
The theme for their dinner was hollywood glam. Explains everything. My fussy dad had me take n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake n retake his picture. Sighhh.

I rightfully should have been at Zouk-Out.

But thats alright, now I get to celebrate NewYear'sEve.

Seeya around then. *smilez*

cheerleaders

"Hey look, its the cheerleaders gang."

Gosh, I have no idea why everyone in uni calls my group of friends that. Its not like the whole gang is from cheerleading, just merely most of us are from cheerleading. I mean, look, HueyNing pulled out, Serena isn't in it in the 1st place. Yet, people, for the sake of convenience just call us "The Cheeleading Gang".

Weird huh? I mean, in shows the cheerleading people are like, bitchy and snobbish. And they own a sorority. BUT WE ARE NOT LORRR. Tho i quite like the sorority part.

Anyway, my meals for the past few days are pretty screwed up. Let me see, I didn't eat anything for Tues lunch, had porridge on Tues night, soup and marsh potatoes for Wed lunch, lamb shank mushy-mushy pie for Wed dinner, 2 slices of cake and Milo for today's lunch.

Why the sudden change for all the mushy soft soft easy to chew food. Well, you tell me?!?!?!

Its all the fault of my gums. Stupid sore gums gave me hell lot of trouble. According to the very dentist who caused me even more pain, my wisdom tooth grew under the gums, resulting in me biting chewing the gums, causing it to swell, so she just CUT it off.

Hello??? Cut if off lidet?!?! SO simple?!?!?

JOker sial. Imagine when I become a doctor, patient comes in with stomach ache I simply cut the stomach away can not can not can not?!?!?

Hence, all the pain I have to endure. No eating no drinking. SIGHHH

And my gums ain't the only sore thing. My wallet has the biggest sore. I am going to be freaking broke. Gimme one more week, I'll be out in the streets begging for money.

I am serious. December barely started, and I am halfway eating through my allowance. 6 days and I am half way through my allowance. On the 12th I'm definitely sleeping on the streets. Be sure to throw me something extra in my lil begging cup yea?

Blame it all on the holidays man. I mean, its holidays!! Who stays at home at rot all day? (actually I do sometimes) I've been going out almost everyday. 1Utama, Curve, MidValley, LowYat, KLCC, Pavillion, Garden, Ikano name any shopping mall and I've been there. Oh the wallet sore.

Besides, meals outside are expensive. I am so gonna opt for home cooked food the next 2 days. Yesh mam. Save some cash, and hope to push back the day I need to sleep on streets further away.

Ooh and the Movies, movies movies. Plus the shopping. No wander my wallet has been screaming!!!!!

Some pictures!!
We love those mushroomies!!
