Ironic holidays

Tell you whats ironic in these hols. Or so called post-exam-pre-release-of-result-hols.

You make a list of things to do before hols, as usual, don't everyone always do. And the list was a whole long substantial list, thinking it could at least last you through the entire month. Okay I kid you, maybe one week?!?! at least?!?!

And then holidays came, and you realize half your list is like, redundant because you happily wrote things down like "meet UK friends" for the fun of procrastinating from studying. And then you realise, NONE OF YOUR UK FRIENDS ARE BACK YET. And there's a few more other things such as "clean table" but mom has clean it up for you *hugs mom*, and "read manga" when there is NO MORE new manga episodes for you to read. And there goes a whole chunk of to do things off the to do list.

Then there are the to do things which won't even take more then a day to do. Such as, "alter clothes" which took 5 mins in the altering shop, and "frame cross-stitch up" which took another 5 mins.

And of course, many other things such as "paint nails" but I freaking can't, because for exams you need to cut you poor lil nails of to sinful short short length and such lenght doesn't even permit you to colour on a basic coat cos its so sinfully short and fugly if you do. Damn exams la.

And exams kills your complexion. Like a whole lot of pimples starts growing and your hair is in a mess because you always tie them up messily to study properly.

Oh and my room aircon is finally repaired. Thanks god.

So my list was left with "watch house". So guess what I am doing now?!?!

Post exams again

There you go. The day has arrived. Exams are over, and I feel a little lost instead of liberty.

NO more visiting libraries.
NO more flipping through notes.
NO more making coffee to stay awake.
NO more slapping myself whenever I feel slightly drowsy.

How am I supposed to survive with no more such wonderful elements of lives??? I need books to survive, I need notes to feel alive, I need exams to feel mortal.

.
.
.
.
.

What am I talking about. I AM TOTALLY APPRECIATING POST EXAMS LARHHH.

Nothing beats chilling over dinner table with a bunch of crazy noisy chatty friends talking rubbish until your stomach burst and laughing till your jaw hurts with ABSOLUTELY nothing to worry about. - Damn I think I will fail exams -

Okay omit the worrying part. But at least no guilt feeling is lingering.

Oh and did I mentioned that stepping into the cinema seems like something I haven't done in YEARS. *sigh the price we pay to just study* I've downed 3 movies in 2 days. Ate gazillion unhealthy food in which I normally don't get to enjoy because mamak is the fastest least time wasting food(to study more). And I did everything I needed to do instead of procrastinating it further because of lack of time.

Ahhh, how I wish I wasn't in medical school for all these wonders.
Got threaten by some terrorist to put this up, or.......................................... (I was sending clothes for alteration, and NO, I am not getting molested by some malay)

Will update more when I have more to update on. Meanwhile, can you all pray I pass my exams pweeetyyy pwwweeettty pwwweeetyyy pleaaassseee?!?!?! with sugar and strawberries on top?!!?

My story My story My pre-exam story

This is the story of my life.

I wake up, brush teeth (with notes in hand), go to uni (with notes in hand), camp in library (reading notes), go for lunch (with notes in hand), camp in library some more, go for dinner (with notes in hand), go home, study study, then sleep (with notes in hand).

AND I TOTALLY LOVE MY REGIME EVERYDAY. *cough cough* It makes me feel more like what I should be -- A medical student. A NERDY STUDIOUS medical student. *welcome to my life*

and I love seeing my notes sprawled all over the table, makes me feel like I have achieved a lot a lot, and I enjoy feeling the panic when people blurt some medical term in which its SO IMPORTANT but I have never heard it before. I love it even more when what I study actually doesn't stay in my brain, so I get to read the notes one more time again. So fun So fun.

And I UBER LOVE feeling guilty for blogging right now when I should rightfully be studying!!!

It's all about thinking positively. And it's all about the love for doing what you're doing.

The food to accompany me through my journey of JOY

What I usually end up doing instead of studying

My new best friend in the library (sorry ShuYee)

The end result of studying too much

What I do when I get too bored of studying

What I do when I am NOT studying

Since I love this whole studying process so much, and since I study better downstairs at my living room, I officially shifted my bed downstairs. Or rather, I made the couch my bed at night. Am I a nerd or am I a nerd or am I a nerd???? (So proud of myself larh)

My new bedroom

New way to eat Kinder Bueno. Smash everything up inside and suck it like you're sucking Choki. I call this the NERD METHOD. (okay not funny, but it taste realllllyyyy gooooooooooddd)

Now you all know why I love STUDYING SO MUCH RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?

I think I have officially made library my house. Isn't it fun to have such a nice home, to just sit down and spread all your belongings over every possible surface area and take up as much space as you want, and to have your VERY VERY LOYAL SON *inside joke* to push your chair in for you so that you can rest your leggies. And when you get hungry, just reach out your hands and grab a bar of chocolate to munch on.

And when you get sleepy? You freaking sleeeeeeeeeeeeepppppp. There. Just like that. *snaps*

Then you go out with your "family" for dinner together-gether, so united, so warm and so ber-family. Favourite family food? Keropok Lekor and Nasi Goreng Ayam. And Limau Ais.

So there's like 2 more days for this HAPPINESS OF MINE to last, and another 6 more days for it to OFFICIALLY END.

Then the REAL REAL REAL FUN BEGINS. *pray I pass pray I pass IjustwanttoseeaConmyresultslip*

*my room aircon spoiled. I shifted downstairs to sleep for the aircon btw. In case you guys really think I am sick*

Diffential Diagnosis Anyone?!

A 16 year old female patient presents with recurrent episodes of fever. She also complains about headaches and malaise. She mentioned that few days back she had a rash outbreak starting from the lower limbs spreading to her body and upper limbs.

After completing a complete blood count, her leukocyte level dropped a little below normal, and her platelet count was low.

Day 2, her platelet count dropped a little more further. And on Day 5 her whole body presents with maculopapular rash.

Differential diagnosis??

It's dengue.

My sister has dengue.

But she is fully recovered already. Thanks god. There were endless nights Not-Being-Able-To-Study because every half an hour my mom burst into my room asking things like "rash means what? good or bad?"

It sucks being a not-yet-a-doctor, but your parents assume you know every medical condition under the sun.

Now now if only my sister had dengue (touch wood) before my Haemato GIT exams I would have aced that paper, because right now I am super pro at dengue!!

*winks*

My 21st Birthday Bash

If I continue waiting for those ever pending pictures, it'll be my 22nd birthday by the time I write about my 21st birthday. Lol. So I guess I'll just make do with those limited ones I currently have. Maybe put up a few more when I do get more nicer ones.

So, after a week long of hazardous planning, involving running to the club, calling up my dad (arguing again) calling Rachel, calling dad again, calling Rachel again, occasionally Willy, or Ven, or Geo, or my Sister, then Rachel again, the party was finally finally FINALLY planned, and over.
Rachel's birthday = 17th May
My Birthday = 27th May
Sem 2 exams = 20th May
Our exams = 15th May
1st KKB posting ends on = 23rd May
Next KKB posting = 26th May

Makes it so hard to pick a proper date.

Then there was all the praying that it wouldn't rain. Because it was a poolside party, open air, fans needed, weather forecast needed.
*Btw, BIG THANK YOU TO WILLY for lending me your fans and helping me with the cake.
*BIG THANK YOU TO GEO for helping me with the music
*BIG THANK YOU TO VEN for helping me w miscellaneous things
*BIG THANK YOU TO KIMLOON for helping me with the photography part
*BIG THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE TO TURN UP!!

Okay enough with the grammy award speech. Lets just meet the Birthday girls!!
*oh shoot I don't have a picture alone with Rachel*

Rachel and her family
Me and my family

Initially the event was a huge mess, *thank you rain thank you so much*. Short drizzle sent shock waves of anxiety down my spine. I ended up commuting to and fro the club just to check and see if we should risk setting up outdoors, or shift the entire venue to a not-so-nice indoor place.

Ended up having to postpone the entire thing for about one hour, major panic, major tachycardia.
And then when the rain stopped, and everything is being settled, I FREAKING HAVEN'T DRESSED UP.

And so I changed, splotted some make up, splotted some perfume. Thinking everything would go fine from now on, Lilian walked in and say, YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE A BIRTHDAY GIRL AT ALL. *oh shoot shoot shoot shoot*

Then the next minute somehow evolves around emptying my entire wardrobe onto my bed, me going in and out of several dresses, tops, pants, blabla, and whoalaaah. Eventually Lilian and my mom's joined effort somehow made me look like a princess *they choose everything I wore on that day, from earrings to dress to belt*

Speak about not having heart attack on the spot.

And then my pre-set curly hair decided to uncurl. *ah heck la, still look pretty can liao*

So, later on, was a whole mess of setting up the place, blowing balloons, spreading flower petals, lighting candles ( damn rain damn you )

And here's our table setting.

Ah, time to sit and relax, and the people kept pouring in. Pity my feet in those 5 inch heels. Walking up and down greetin people, commuting to and fro between my parents, the gift table, the music station, and whoalawhoalawhoalalalalala.

And PICTURE TAKING TIME!!

First picture has to be with my sister. The one who gets me into SO MUCH TROUBLE with her innocent words.
