friendship

Resolving friendship problems are always a pain in the arse!!

First everyone is happy with one another, because you just met, you try to tolerate one another's flaws and behaviour. Then, you started realising that, either one of you are stubborn, or both of you are stubborn, and when an argument arise you just won't want to give in.

Or

A third party comes in, and wheels your friend away, and he/she sorta kinda forgets about you.

Or

You realise that both of you just cannot co-exist in the same space, because either you are too alike, or too unalike.

Or

Misunderstandings occur, and you feel that its each other's fault.

But sometimes, when such argument last for so God damn long, you started to feel either better off without your annoying friend, or worse off because you can't help wondering if you could revert things back with him/her. Or neither, because you are so confused trying to decide which condition is better for you.

And when you do put in some effort to repair the broken relationship, or something triggers both of you to finally realise that you're being foolish, the process of healing is so troublesome. Its takes loads of patience, tons of tolerance, and endless amount of effort.

And then when you finally come to an agreement to really become friends like how you use to be, it becomes to freaking awkward. Cos you get too used to being without one another, share different friends and different habits, then one day you are with him/her, totally altering your lifestyle, it becomes so so so awkward, you might just wanna resort back to being without one another.

So what do you do? You are now caught in between two decisions. To put in more effort to work things out, or to just abandon the idea, thinking its wrong to even try go back to how things used to be? Worse thing is that you aren't even sure the opposite party's thoughts, and you don't dare to ask in case you screw things up.

Let me tell you, friendship is one hell of a confusing thing. So its always much better to appreciate it when you have it. Cos when you lose it and try to get it back, its damn bloody difficult, and things won't ever be the same again. Sometimes its just isn't your fault, but things happen anyway, like how life always suck. Worse off, is you lose it for good. You've just lost someone who you can share and confide things with, and its such such such a pity cause you shared so many things, know each others flaws and you're just not talking to one another. Not to say you missed him/her or what, but simply because its such a pity pity pity, like such a waste to not be friends with one another anymore over no reason.

Let me ask you, do you think its worth gaining back a friend whom you're comfortable with, but in the process you risk losing you current ones simply because they don't blend, but you hope and pray and work damn hard to make them blend, but it just may not work, but you still try anyway??? Is it worth going through so much trouble to do so??

of christy's bday!!

Monday was a busy day for me, busy hectic schedule, but it was a special day for someone!! >grins<
Anyways, I met up with 4 other girls in the morn for lunch in Puzini's!! =) yum yum

Fun fact No 1#

Do you know that Rachel's driving is so so so so reckless!! I was busy saying my prayers when she swerve to the left and right, and then suddenly yanking the break pedal!!

I headed straight to Chloe's Yvonne's and Serena's house to prepare for the big event ahead!! We made sandwiches, sausages. Now now, the plan we have was to make Christy fell all lonely in university on her birthday. She basically wandered around uni that day calling everyone up only to find that noone in is in school. Imagine its your birthday, and that noone remembers, let alone to turn up. So sad!!!! Awwwwwh...

So then Chloe and Serena headed to uni to distract her while I have a mini briefing session with all the other peeps who were sporting enough to turn up even though its exams!! The big event we were talking about is the mini treasure hunt Christy is going to have to endure to find for her birthday celebration!!

Fun fact No 2#
Serena can't cut cucumbers in equal thickness either!!

So, basically Christy had to walk around the entire university in search for the clue that leads her to the next. And when she finally found the final clue, she got blind folded and was led to the LT where everbody was!!
Haha.. then it was SURPRISE!!!!!
The rest no need to say di lar, we had a usual birthday celebration!! I hoped Christy enjoyed it!!

Christy with the cake, and an overly excited rachel face
Christy and her beloved pretty Tjun Hoe!!

Me and the birthday girl

Notice how the people keep increasing in the photos. These people ah!!!

Fun fact No.3#
The "Its hard to believe, what I couldn't see" is still stuck in my head!!!

calm down people.. I am just joking. But this has been my life, and will continue to be. Although I may seem relaxed and easy going, but life, is a war for me. I am always fighting for everything.

I fight against my will to resist temptations, fight to convince myself to stare for hours at lecture notes. Fight with my parents over really ridiculous things, fight to stay awake during late nights, fight for my cheerleading team's attention during trainings, fight to win volleyball matches, fight for friends and fight with them too.

Life is tiring isn't it. Why can't everyone live in peace and harmony.

Usually when exams are round the corner, my blogging frequency increases. Mainly because I use blogging as an excuse from studying. More like the "okay I blog a bit bit bit then I go study" kinda thing.

So that explains what I am doing here. With my fingers running and skidding across the keypad.

Volleyball is over. My team lost 2 games and won 1. The one we won was really a big scare for me. We should never underestimate the opponents however bad they are, cos thats what we did, and we lost the 1st set to them. Thankfully we recovered quick enough to finish off the game with a win. But then again, we wont make it into semi's anymore. Bye Bye volleyball.

Starbucks frapp is my new fave. It keeps me awake during late nights when I burn the midnight oil. Pity it is way too costly for my to indulge in everyday.

As for cheerleading, I am so screwed. But I think I'll managed to pull through. The best decision I made, was to put Chloe in charge of dances. I am so thankful for that, cos now, I wont be the only one worrying endlessly alone, I have company. >smiles<>

My social life, is currently zero. Unless u count visiting a friend in hospital as one. TY caught a fever and got admitted into hospital. So HueyNing and I decided to pop by to say hi, and ended up spending 4 hours there due to the rain. We were so proud of ourselves to be able to rely on public transportation to reach Assunta Hospital. But Malaysian public transportation is a sore in the arse. Its so slow, that you'll rot waiting for it. When will Malaysia ever change?

There are a few people who I am so so so sick of right now. That I wont elaborate. Cos they're a pain to mention, and my blog is not worth for their names to be mentioned.

As for steamboat on last Sat, (yes I had steamboat) pictures are still with Christy. And I will talk about it when I get the pics.

That's all thats going through my life currently.

Right now, tata. Off to the land of lecture notes!!

zombie-ing

Here I am, sitting in front of my Dell Latitude D610. Typing what seems to be an extremely long draggy day of mine.

Let start with what happened at 12am in the morning ( its when the day starts anyway ). Chloe slept over at my place again. We were on full study mode and drilled lecture notes after lecture notes.

Then the narcolepsy in me settled in at around 1am. In order to prevent sleeping, we cooked mushroom soup to drink. I think it didn't really worked it instead amplify the sleepiness.

Chloe's lousy attempt at trying to take an embarrassing candid shot of me sleeping.

Thats the pig who stayed at my house for those 2 nights.

I can practically hear her screaming right now if she reads this. "Pei-Wen!! How can you put such a PIGGLY pic of me!! AArgh my arm look SO FATT!!"

Don't worry dear you look sweet and cute here larrr...

Anyway, my point is that I eventually spent the whole night online, and had a mere 4 hours of sleep. ( I need 8 hours cos i am a pig )

So in the morn, woke up at weee hour of 7am, reached uni at 8am, slept at Chloe's for a while, walked groggily to PBL at 9am, sat through the entire boring lesson, had CSU at 1030am, ate lunch, and then head of to the library to "ATTEMPT" to study... What a futile effort it was.. I slept in the library the whole time, only waking up between intervals to walk to the washroom, or to read 1 sentence of my notes.

Speaking of CSU (clinical skills unit), today's CSU was far more interesting and funnier. Which was a good thing because it managed to keep me awake the whole time.

We learn how to use an auroscope ---> the thingi you put into your ear to see the eardrum and its adnormalities.

Of cause all of us had normal ear drums.. But some of my fellow friends were funny though.

One of them had a lot of ear wax, and the lecturer that facilitated us was like "hey all of you come here n see ear wax". It felt pretty odd though, like we want to see disgusting ear wax, and the poor girl had to sit there still for so long for all 7 of us to finish looking at her ear wax, not to mention bearing the embarrassment too.

Then we learn how to examine people's mouth. We were required to work in pairs for that. Now this time round I was the victim. When my mouth was widely open with a spatula inserted in my cheek, the lecturer decided to walk by. Then she peeked into my mouth and said " Hey come see her sublingual gland!! Its a pretty subulingual gland" Then poor me have to open my mouth for so so so so long for everyone to peek into it!!

And then we were taught how to feel for pulses. Now everyone should know where your radial pulse is (the one on your wrist) and carotid pulse ( the one on your neck ). Today we were taught how to feel the rest of the pulses. There one at the ankle, one at the leg, one at the knee etc etc etc (I won't want to bore you with that).

Now there is one very interesting pulse that caught everyone's attention. The femoral pulse ( inner thigh, next to the male's groin ). So you can now see the awkwardness of the situation. One of my group people Jon just kept laughing and laughing!!! There was a simulated patient with us, and my lecturer was so ignorant about caring his feeling she just said "okay now take of your pant, yeapz, lower some more, wait thats enough, oooh cover cover cover okay"

She felt for his femoral pulse, and asked everyone to do the same. OH-MY-THE-AWKWARDNESS-GAWD!! I was very afraid he was going to have an erection when girls were feeling his femoral pulse. It happened before to seniors. >pray pray<

He didn't erect lar for your info, but oh well, the things we future-doctors get to do. Wait till i experience ladies' vagina inspection!!!
