I much rather be working

I feel so much more . . . . . . sad, when I am studying. I no longer can bare the endless hours of sitting still at the table. I rather be going around pulling out JP drains and putting in NG tubes and having billious vomitus all over me than sit in a room with my poor coffee turning cold, pretending to study, I mean attempting to study. 


And I wish all American students do TEN lumbar punctures before they can graduate. (referring to an episode of house). Because I have not done one up till now. Major PHAIL. 


On a happier note, EVERYONE IS GRADUATING!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!


To ViZanne the bubbly lil girl who brightens up my life everytime I see a FB message (I know I'm THAT sad).


To Aaron and YinnCher who scream down the entire 2nd floor hallways everytime someone scores a goal on TV. (I swear my room earthquake-ed for a while).


I still have one more GRUELLING YEAR TO GO. 


but!!!!!!!!!!!!!   24 more days to the end of my TWO AND A HALF YEARS OF THIRD YEAR MED SCHOOL. (urgh can't believe it can't believe it -- too cacat until cannot be promoted)

Nice weather

How I wish it could be this warm (yet not scorching hot) whole year round. 


Weather has been improving. It's been nice and breezy but not burning hot the past week. It started to rain alittle bit, but it is a refreshing drizzle (instead of crazy thunderstorms that make you jump every 5 seconds). Bye bye cold weather for now. 


Had a little time to go around and about to seek for happiness albeit the busy study schedule. Yea I know ain't it sad that we need to seek for happiness nowadays. Lolz. But happy indeed was the weekend. 


Happy stop number one was Krispy Kreme on a Saturday noon. Because we love ourselves and the calories we put into our mouths so much. Yummy Yumm.

Happy place number two was a visit to Korean town . . . . AGAIN. Had my fave fave fave fave kimchi broth tofu soup and spicy pork. As usual, ate like a pig and ate till everyone stopped eating and finished their food and I was still ngoming on my food + Queen's leftovers. Nowander my mom say I becoming rounder and my nostrils started flaring to resemble a pig. Oink oink. 

Will try to gym (swim) today. *note to self*

Happy place number 3 is still at Korean town, but at the seafood section.

Lobsters were on sale. Although very tiny, but still on SALE.

Me an LayQueen saw the lobsters first, and were staring at it for a long long time, and decided that we fail ultimately cos eventhough it was cheap we clearly lack the skills to make a nice meal out of it. So we walked away sulking and super disappointed with ourselves and was buying all sorts of mochi to comfort our lack of skills. 

And then we remembered there was a master chef born amongst the talented ones who just arrived. And so eventhough we still feel like we ultimately fail, out stomachs were happy.

Okay I promised myself I will swim today. And so I will.

Girl in Town

I had a lovely visitor somewhere around the end of March - start of April. 


Jolene in town!


Didnt manage to bring her around much cos she had "awesome" spring break (WHICH I DIDNT HAVE) which coincided with my surgery rotation. But did manage to show her some nice places to dine in though.

Okays. I feel obligated to give this pretty lady a post since she was here and I basically ignored her. Haha. 

Philadelphia International Art Festival

Before I start and everyone gets surprise in whoever appears in the pictures, let me first announce (a month late) that the Juniors are here. 

Okay now I can continue the post. Hehe. 

It was Philadelphia's International Art Festival, and a street fair was organized in conjunction to the event. So we decided to explore the street fair. Actually, it was more for me to take a deep breath from my drowning rotations. 

YinnCher (our future neurosurgeon) CAMWHORING. With the juniors laughing at him. 

It was a lovely event. The weather was PERFECTO. Breezy and sunny. Not too cold or too hot. 

The main reason we were there was also to see this huge circus show. The show was supposed to be in air. 

The huge crane that is supposed to hold the weird looking structure in air. 

The show started an hour late. Which was sucky cos I wanted to go home and . . . . . . (k la to study la I'm a nerd). But ended up going home to sleep anyways.

Long Due DC

This was the best short field trip ever. To Washington DC! 

Honestly speaking, I am neither an artsy person nor a history person, but DC is only art or history. But one thing that makes it memorable, is the endless array of sakura trees from one end to the other, in the entire city. *hearts max*

And its my first time seeing actual sakura trees in numbers. Oh aren't I glad my medicine rotation ends just right about that time. 

We were joined by the NYC folks too. WheiYing and Justin! This is a hotel mirror shot!

Big big problem there is food though. We were not familiar with the surrounding, and what food they have to offer. So we basically just walked around till we saw a fascinating scene.

SEAFOOD.

Crabbie crabbie crabs,

Although I totally disapprove the way they cook these crabbies. So cruel. They just throw all the live crabs on this huge metal steam thingi, and the crabs slowly get steamed to death. And cooked too at the same time. If you look at the above picture, the crabs on the far right are all dead, cooked to death, whereas the crabs on the left are just begin to slowly experience their end of life.

Because of the way the crabs are cooked, they are not yummy also. Haha, but we still ate them anyways. 

Fresh oysters! (which I totally avoided cos I can't stand oysters). Dirt cheap!

Like I mentioned before, DC is a walking city. So we walked and walked and walked till our legs can die. ZhiVen gave up half way and headed back to the hotel to do work.

This time round, I manage to actually catch abraham lincoln on his chair. The last time I was there a huge event was ongoing and the place was jam-packed!

The next day, we headed north, and spend a lot of time with this one particular tree.

And met YinnKhurn at the lovely brunch place that I *heart* much!

And then we headed to the Aerospace museum, which I totally had no interest cos I don't understand airplanes and machinery (can't believe I had an engineer moment in college).

And that kinda summarises my DC trip!
