Birthdays and birthday gifts.

Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday to me

Birthday's are always the same every year, go to school get wishes and greetings, and a few nice pressies, then get surprised somehow either by getting blindfolded, and having your feelings cheated thinking noone remembers your bday.

Then there's always the dinner with family, and the cake to blow and cut. And the wishes. There were a few memorable birthday wishes so far that was deeply engraved into my cerebrum.

There was my form 5 birthday in which my sec school friends boy-cotted me to go to pizza hut, only to find myself being brought there with a secret recipe tiramisu cake. And recieved a hand made memory hand book by lizziekins.

Then there was the one in Singapore where by I was brought to the middle of orchad road, and after having a debate on whether to eat at hardrock cafe or swensens, we finally headed to swensons. And my birthday gift was paraded on models. Mind you, my GUY friends were parading and modeling my birthday gift (necklace, belt, earrings) in swensens.

But a TWENTY-FIRST Birthday celebration has to be by far the most memorable one. Apart from the Birthday Bash in which I had last Saturday, which I have yet to write about it because I do not have all the pictures with me now, the birthday wishes on my facebook were flooding, and my phone inbox burst full of greeting. **touched-nya banyak orang ingat my bday**

And dinner with the family was splendid. (yum yum yum)
Not
to mention the gifts.

Being an avid nail freak, you would have expected me to use nail products of the utmost quality. Alas, being a kiamsiap freak as well, the most expensive nail poslish I have ever purchase is from Skin food. But but but, check this out, my virgin OPI's!!! *love you friends!!*
Most of the time, people end up buying you gifts you either don't like, or gift you wont have must use for. But the most practical gift comes in the form of And of course. The best 21st birthday gift a girl could ever ask for is And the literal meaning behind it (you wish larrrrr)

Since I can't write about my party, I will write about my Birthday dinner with my family. We went to Zipangu, in Shangrila Hotel. A restaurant enough to make your wallets haemorrhage to death. But it was daddy's treat, and we only get to dine like this once a year.
And mom's gift to me was to make my head go red. =)

Check out my freshly dyed red head!! Lastly, I will not let this post go without some whoring. Nail-whoring. ROAR. Birthday Nails.
Till then! *winks*

Pre- Bday bash

Hello ladies and gentleman.

I know many of you are doubting how to arrive at my birthday bash. Yes I am having a birthday bash for my 21st birthday. My first time ever celebrating a birthday on such a big scale, and also my first time ever having a birthday party.

To make things better, my close friend Rachel actually has her birthday pretty close to mine, so we both close buddies can actually do it together and invite more people to make it even bigger!!

So here are the details

Those of you who are yet to have invites do give me or Rachel a call. =)

And those of you who are unsure of the way there here is a map to guide you.
To make things easier, I'll do a verbal directioning from one utama (I left that map in someone's car)

1. From One Utama, coming from the curve, go up the flyover in front of 1u.
2. After that, continue straight untill you see a second flyover (in which there are construction works going on) and turn left under the flyover (do not go up the flyover).
3. Keep going straight (passing by Taman Tun) until you reach another flyover (in which you will see Eastin Hotel on your right, and Titamium Dance club), go up that flyover.
4. Right after the flyover, take the first left turn (continue going straight you'll end up in KL)
5. You'll find yourself branching out and eventually turning into Sprint highway (which will lead you to Penchala Link if you continue going straight)
6. Take the first left branching of the main road, and keep to the middle path which goes down (the extreme left path will go up into Sime Darby and the middle path goes down)
7. Eventually you'll see Royal Selangor Club on your left. Bukit Kiara Club is just after that.

Do ring me up if you get lost anywhere. Lol

Hope to see you there!!

Food food food!!

German is one of the countries that produce good quality beer, and lip smacking yummy sausages too. Therefore in dire need of huge juicy sausages, (and Ian's craving for pork pork and pork), not to mention the taste of good beer, we plonked ourselves right in the middle of....

**a little side note** -- When Ian first told me about this place I thought it was spelt "beerhouse"

It's funny how we were at the heart of KL, and we drove all the way to The Curve just for food's sake. (well I'm not complaining, it eases my journey home)

Before I elaborate further on our yummy meal, I'll do a little side track.

PAVILLION'S PARKING IS BY FAR THE MOST EXPENSIVE ON EARTH. (or rather the most expensive parking fare I've ever seen was in Pavillion's car park)

Whooping RM 17. Such a thief.

In the car on the way to curve

And so we arrived and placed our orders. We spotted a HUGE pork knuckle dish at the neighboring table and got ourselves all yearning for food, drooling drooling *okay its not THAT dramatic*

And soon,Our yummy food arrived. Pork knuckles, Cordon bleu and GERMAN SAUSAGES THAT I TOTALLY LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

And of course. Yummy beer.

Needless to say, its been ages since I had something this nice. (Damn exams damn you) It was quite a treat for me. Although it may not be all OMGYUMMYCANDIE, but well, after being coped up for so long, the first piece of chomp appeals to your taste buds with a hundred times of amplication. Hehe.

Wesak

Year by year, on this very particular day, people are crowding and cramming up the temples polluting the air with joss stick smoke, and banging their heads on the floor in front of a gold buddha statue.

And year after year, I get dragged to the temple at some unsightly time in the morning and then starve the whole day without meat to fill my carnivorous mouth.

Hey, it's wesak day isn't it.

Its tradition we buddist, although troublesome, and tiring, and smelly, and hot, are proud to go through, unquestionably.

This time around, wesak week is not only for temples. But it involves hoping to Bukit Kiara Club, then to some fancy restaurant, and then arguing with the dad, and then calling up the Rachel, and then arguing with the dad some more.

Sometimes I wish I am allowed to make decisions for myself, and put them straight across to be accepted, marked and filed, instead of having to conjure a nice opening statement, and then the content of a debate session, and then stand firm on my conviction, and make strong powerful, logic reasonings in order to have something approved. It's down right tiring. And people wonder why I grew up so independent and strong headed.

But alas, lets just hope the birthdays could be done, the car could be mended, and the hospital attachment could be applied. (now you guy know why I never stand to win)

Then again, aircons can even sneeze *random*This is elaine's aircon. It was too cold hence it was dripping with flu till we have to stuff its mouth/nose with tissue.

Nerds gear me up to be a nerd.

Elaine cooks damn nice mayonese chicken. Go bug her for the recipe!! Its yummy beyond words. I wish I could cook anything other that maggee mee.

This post-exam breaks are too short. Officially tomorrow I'll hit the books again. Man. So fast! And this time round, its 4 systems in one month. 4 big huge systems. I need to swallow all the mass info and hope it stays there.

Big Fat Sigh.

Anyway, I was playing with some new program to edit picture. *Much user friendly than photoshop* Check out what I made?!?!

Post-exam

The best thing I like about exams are post-exams. Although this time round post-exams are going to be extremely short, I still enjoyed it.

The immediate post exams plan was to have dinner at some outdoor chic place at Bukit Bintang walk, and then chill out at some nice bar.

So at the very nice outdoor chic restaurant.
Damn nice right the exterior? I love the concept. Gives you this romantic classical feeling. All red and everything.

With the "ew"
the Den and the Doll

The food
The very yummy tea

The crowd

See. I love post-exams. All about chilling, and spending money, and not worrying about not studying. And being able to visit and discover cool places and experience nice food, and with nice people, and whats more, getting dressed, and wearing nice clothes.

Beats wearing jacket 24-7 and being coped up in the library.

Then we decided to chill (yea right) at skybar.

Why the "yea right"?!? -- because skybar is so hot and stuffy that night.

On the way there, we spotted this!
Okay not like spotted spotted. Its pretty obvious everywhere in kl. But we stopped at a damn nice spot to take such a good shot of the Petronas Twin Tower. So we stuck our hands out of the car window when it stopped at the traffic lights, and kachinged kachinged to our amusement.

And here you go. Inside skybar - the place for hot people. (seriously I was sweating in there)

Later on it got so hot, we were in dire need of modern technological invention -- the air conditioner. Hence we scooted downstairs for some breeze. And well, kachinged kachinged further.

Check out the decor on top. Its so bling bling I loike!!

And then when we proceeded back upstairs, we were fascinated by our camera's slow shutter function. Therefore, we shamelessly posed and posed trying to get something cool out of it.

After like 100 shots, this is the outcome.

I love post-exams. I wish I could be in post exam mode all the time. But coming this tuesday, I am reverting back to nerd-mode. Big fat sigh. So more MIA-ness from me. =) Don't miss me then yea?!?!

ps : my sis say I look old (28-30 ish) in all the pictures. =( please tell me otherwise!!

Accident. Again!

My mom's mother's day present sure costs a bomb. Not like the flowers and cards were so expensive, but let me tell you, altogether, the price reach 4 digits.

Hey I don't mean 4 digits in the sense of RM20.99 or 4888 rupiah. I meant seriously RMxxxx.xx (okay maybe I should say its 6 digits?)

WHO ON EARTH SELL FLOWERS SO EXPENSIVE WAN?!?!
- my flowers are not from Prada, Gucci or LV *note*
- my flowers are not imported from some rural part of kandahar where no aeroplane is available have to take bus/taxi and take 100 years to reach malaysia thats why the price so expensive
- my flowers are not those extinct protea species (I bought sunflowers, made and planted in cameron highland punya sunflowers)
- my flowers do not have unlimited lifespan (like those immortality flowers can last for life thats why so expensive *like in anime's*)

Then why is my gift to my mom so so so expensive??!?!?!??!

Because... ***drum rolls***

This is what happened when I drove out to buy the gift.
Big ouch. I know, this is like the 3rd accident within a short period of half a year. *stop nagging me already*
*clicks* 1st accident*
*clicks* 2nd accident*

What exactly happened???

1. I got too stressed out by exams, I decided to try something stress relieving so I crash the car at FULL FORCE towards the lamp post (sideways so I wont injure myself)

2. I showed a middle finger to some mad maniac driver who cut my line, and he being mad and maniac purposely CRASH the side of my car's bum bum leaving me devastated and mad and angry.

3. I got distracted on the road by this super CUTE JAY CHOU advertisement on the road side and while I was busy oogling at him I lost control of the car and it swerved to the left and crash a tree.

4. I purposely crash the car so that my dad will buy me a new one.

Okay okay enough hypothesis here, any guesses anyone?!?!?!?

Well to be honest, as you all *those with logic brains at least* might have guessed I was just crapping on top.

The main reason was, I studied till very late the night before, and I had to get up really early to get the flowers *fresh and nicely packed* in the morning so that my mom wouldnt be back from my uncles place yet (she stayed over there that night).

Being all sleepy and blur, I was taking a cornering at One Utama's carpark. (there's this really narrow lane next to the wall) and I underestimated the width of my car, so the side ter-touch (more like crash) the wall. Then, I smartly reverse the car making it double crash.

=( there goes another one year of my allowance.

Check this very cool pic out.

This has got nothing to do with Noise and Movement. Its some photography competition the sem ones did for some World Lupus Day. Since the most classical symptom of lupus is the butterfly rash, hence, butterfly is the theme for this competition.

And if you look carefully, this picture was taken on the 3rd floor, and the butterfly is actually made out of coloured A4 paper. So cool!!

And for the coming weekend. I wanna wish my Mom HAPPY MOMMA"S DAY!!!
I truly love you MOMMY!! (not like she reads this blog *I damn hope she doen't*) But just to let everyone know I love my mommy the most.

And lastly, a picture of my 2nd home. =) Hopefully I can get a picture of my 2nd family too.
