Cheerleading!!

I suddenly miss cheerleading. It just hit me, that I might never cheerlead again. EVER!! I'm getting old

This was Cheerleading in the year 2005

I remember this experience vividly. It's the first time I got introduced into cheerleading, and the first time I was doing stunts. The company was awesome too. Great team wonderful coach.

This was Cheerleading in the year 2006

Just one year into cheerleading and I was already made the team captain, with 2 other co-captains. Lina and Bevelin! Too bad coach was only there for us for the first half of our training, or else we could have won!!!

This was Cheerleading in the year 2007

Once a captain always a captain. I still remember Denise approaching me about coaching a whole team of noobies (who are now pros, so proud of them) and I kept asking her to ask SeeKi instead. Wow. I didn't really think I could do it. Thanks to Chloe of course!!

And finally, in the year 2008

My oh my. My eyes so small la. I really didn't want to continue being the captain for last year's cheer. Because I knew the hassle behind it and I'm not prepared to go through it again. But alas, once a captain always a captain. Managed to pull in more FUN people like the whole QianHui LiYen SookYeen Michelle TjunHoe Nagen gang. Made the whole experience more memorable. Once again, thanks to the then-promoted-Chloe-co-captain.

Nostalgic-nya. Now I got like 3 cheerleading suits in which I paid more than almost 1000 bucks altogether and they are going to rot.

Oh well, at least I have memories!!!

Garden lunch and Labradors

My blog has been devoid of pictures!!!! So many word filled posts one after another. It just doesn't seem like me at all. Oh well. Here's TONS of pictures to make up for it.

Sitting full time in the library is not going to do us much good. To stop us from turning into permanent library furnitures, it was decided that a trip outdoors would do us good (and prevent rickets as well).

I've always wanted to dine, or in this case lunch-ed at Garden lifestyle store and cafe in One Utama. Saw it launched few months back, and have been itching to try their food out. It shares a similar concept to the Fullhouse in NZX actually, only it has a fake white grand piano instead of a fake cooper at the entrance.

Then we hopped over to the indoor garden. (ironically, by deciding to spent some time outdoors, we're actually indoor)

The decor was beautiful. Although I prefer greener FRESH twines and grasses. Like the old smoke house in Fraser's/Cameron. Genuine. But for a garden wannabe city restaurant, its ok i guess.

There's even a huge tree inside. Well huge Fake tree. Can't help thinking if only it was real it'll be ten times cooler. Well the concept is cool enough though.

I was sitted next to a wall with vines and roses.

Food was ok. Drinks was ok. The soup was cute. Served in a mini cup (well good way to give people less for what they pay)

Carbonara and Mango-Orange Sorbet

Caught a movie Marley and me later on. L.O.V.E the DOG!!! L.O.V.E the LABBY!! L.O.V.E MARLEY!!!

Although I could tell at least 3 different labradors were used to film the show because I can see their differences. But they are all so adorable. The movie was alright. I thought the book was better.I teared reading the book. But didn't drip more than 2 tears watching the movie. Perhaps I was already anticipating Marley's death in the movie since I've read the book. Nontheless. THE DOG IS CUTE. Made me run home and wanna hug my Viva straightaway except she played with her poop last night and haven really bathed.

Yea Labs are hyper creatures. And disgusting.

Wokay Dokay. Me no like report writing. I haven't started, but hearing from others, it's gonna eat up hell lot of time. Urghh!!!!!!!!

Got tagged on facebook!! =)

Your view on yourself:

Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

O.H.M.Y.G.O.D.......

I have to make this post really quick. 15 minutes.

I just made a REALLY LUNATIC CRAZY OUT OF MY MIND DECISION.

I still tremble by the thought of that decision.

1stly, I have to apologise to loads of people whom I gave misleading conception. Most of all, LiXia, cos I made her stay in UK to see me go over. Lol. LiXia, its not going to happen anymore (unless I fail my exam choi choi choi!)

Instead today, after much pondering and deviating from studies for about 3 days, I've decided to follow my heart, and opt fot the SUPER DUPER RISKY CHOICE.

I am opting to go to USA. Thomas Jefferson College, in Philadephia, Pennysylvia.

So why am I still hyperventilating??

It really took me a whole load of courage to step up to that decision.

I always thought I would end up in UK. Since semester 1, 2, 3, 4, and first half of semester 5. I always knew UK had the whole problem about letting foreigners stay and specialise, but I always wanted to go to UK and my insistence on it kind of obscured the ugly scene. In fact, on tuesday itself I even submitted my choices ranking from Liverpool, Southampton, Glasgow and Edinburgh to the Academic department.

But today, I made this really brave, couragous, challenging decision. USA is a safer choice for the future, but a much riskier choice now. Because, there are only 3 spaces open, and there are 4 of us wanting it. Should I be the unlucky one to get the worse results in my USMLE out of the 4, I might end up not going to USA, nor UK, nor anywhere I prefer. Opting for Thomas Jefferson is a ALL OR NOTHING decision.

I am still scared. To be honest, frankly, I spend about 5 mins crying because I was so afraid I will make the wrong decision, just before handing in my decision to the Academic department. Yea, crybaby crying crying wailing loud loud kinda crying (just the kind Vanessa hates). Not just the tears streaking down the face kinda thing. Oh gosh. I really hope I wont regret my decision.

Now all I gotta do, is to strive really hard in my studies. Get A's in all my remaining exams, score the highest possible in my USMLE, and my dream to the USA will be a reality. Just pray that I'm not the unlucky ONE to be kicked out. *crossing fingers*

So no more movies, no more nail painting, no more yamcha sessions, no more anything till the Month of November. Its study study study, strive hard and be lifeless for a better future. (my blog might cease to be updated often too)

God please bless me I really need the strength to not regret this decision. I hope I wont loos the motivation half way through. May my remainding 3 examinations pass with FLYING colours (because just a pass is not enough)

Ps : Congrates to my sister. 11A1's and a B3 is impressive =)

Because you read my blog

There was a girl, Rozzanne or Rebecca,
Rosemary, Ronnie or Rain,
names don't matter, time don't tell,
they all deceive you the same.

Friends or foe, I don't really know,
yet blue sky turns to grey,
behind the curtains, the sweat, the action,
yet all eyes fall on the play.

Pretence is nothing but a cover,
true wolf needs to show,
when lightning strikes the field on fire,
temperature rise and grow.

Insistence on being always right,
yet hurt so deep profound,
tough on the surface, rock hard mountain,
but suffer without a sound.

It's about the words, unexpressed,
that caused such great calamity,
but when those phrases found their path,
there's no more generous gratuity.

Swords and daggers exchanged in disguised,
actions unexplained,
but stack the coins and pieces together,
pebbles form a lane.

No more shadows linger and remain,
confusion expounded stark,
Forgiveness exchanged, emotions rearranged,
Let foot prints leave their mark.

Memories voyage, planes and beaches,
of those I forever treasure,
in hope of many lives hereafter,
are filled with bliss and laughter.

Finally the weekend!!

I hate weekends as much as I love weekends. Weekends means I don't need to get up at 6.30 am in the wee morning. But weekends means studying all day long without having "lectures" as an excuse not too. Yea I am THAT nerd mind you.

This week was quite a waste of time. But it was a good de-stress period I would say.

IMU scrapped health issues from our syllables, and replace the what-would-have-been-2-weeks-long-lectures with household surveys and research projects.

So a group of 20 plus students were required to gather surveys from about 250 houses, and do a mini project. Naturally we were separated into the "project"group and the "survey" group.

On the very first day itself, I was already cursing non-stop for being in the "survey" group. Because the poor 16 of us had to go house by house to collect 250 respondents. That sums up to about 15 houses each. And mind you it was not easy. "Research" group just sit in the clinic and enjoy air-con. Jealous-nya.

For every 1 respondent we got, we got rejected by 10 houses, an another 5 claiming they are "not free" and probably 5 slammed the door in our faces.

I realise that the chinese, rich people are the unfriendliest, while the indians, caucasians, and the poorer chinese were much more supportive of our efforts.

Bus ride to Seremban Clinic.

Breakfast before our survey.

Lucky Aida, when she finished her food, we were all still starving and waiting for our roti's to come.

Seremban Clinic was far nicer than was I expected. It's almost as nice as a private hospital, fully air-con inside, much better than Seremban hospital itself.

Dr. Vera giving us briefing.

This is my partner for the 1st day.

Kim Khiam!!! This picture was taken, when we were so exhausted after going house to house that we desperately needed to have some rest at a air-con place. So we pretended we neede to bank in some money at Public Bank and sat there looking like idiots. Lol. Such an experience.

More pictures of us under the scorching hot sun.

I still think its a stupid move for IMU to incoporate this element of research into our curriculum. But since we have no choice but to go with the flow, might as well enjoy it. It's quite a break from all the studying.

Day 2 started with me and SeeKi looking forward to eat our pork-soya-noodle (or so she claimed). But we didn't in the end due to some plan changes (so sadddddddddd)

But by then, I was no longer cursing being in the "survey" side, because I remembered being posted to a clinic in my sem 2 days and staying the whole day there. It was boring. "Survey" group was much more fun. Although ten times more tiring. Even Jo Wern claims so (he came over to the "bright side" [quote Kay Teck] to help meet our quota)

The weather was treating us much kinder then. And this time, I was posted to a bungalow area (oh no, more rich people, more slamming of doors!!)

Typical bungalow.

Honestly, chinese business man there think they are so rich. Their bungalows in Seremban probably only half the price of an apartment in KL. Arrogant bastards.

We were half way through our surveying and it RAINED. Poor SeeKi and me gotta crouch under her mini purple umbrella and seek shelter. We spotted Hospital Tunku Jafaar, which was SO FAR AWAY. Little did we know, IMU Seremban was just 5 meters from us. I was so excited I ran to its direction forgetting SeeKi needed the umbrella I was holding. Lol.

Saw so many seniors there. M206. Nice meeting them Lol. Saw eye-sores too.

Anyway, here are a few interesting sights I encountered during my 2 days.

Here's a house who's owner's hobby is to rear birds. Its so cool wei. All kind of birds can be seen here. Honestly, I personally think its very cruel to rear birds cos they can't fly in cages. But still, its a cool sight.

Here's a mamak stall that attract pigeons. The wierd thing about this mamak is that the pigeons only crowd there. No matter how many times the owner shoo them away, they refuse to leave, or kacau the nerbouring mamak. They just camp there for god knows what reason.

Here's a finding which SeeKi discovered. Jing Guo looks like Mr Bean when he is sleeping. LOL.

And the most impactfull scene was when we were at the bungalows carrying out our surveys. SeeKi was in the midst of interviewing a chinese teacher at the gate, and this stray dog kept poking its head kacau-ing her. The dog was adorable, but a tad bit annoying because it jumped up and down wanting attention. But it was such a sight.

Minutes later, someone must've called the animal control center, because they poor stray dog was caught. Cruel!! But I guess its for the better, less stray animals, less chances of disease spreading. Plus doggie will get proper meals at its shelter.

Poser guy, gave me a peace sign!!

To sum it up, house hold survey left us with a very burnt face, drained mind, but nonetheless, a worthless experience which I rather not have.

But I had fun. =)
