1st day of UNI

i was bored and alone and dem sleepyy... thankfully my parents were dere to teman me through.. i spotted some lost ppl all lonely and pathetic (just lik me) n dey look so poor thingi..

this kinda thing alwiz happens when your out of ur batch.. blame it on dem spore who's A levels took two year whilst msia oni one n a half yr.. ppl ard me were either one or two yr younger.. everyone knew each other (same batch ma) n were chatting away happily.. all mua batch ppl are in diff intake which totally sucks..

but guess who i met in the end to make things much beta???

she's my dear old sec skul classmate who decided to slack half a year b4 entering uni.. which is why she's in my batch (phew luckily)...

at least i have a fren n someone to carpool w in future.. and oso someone to accompany me loorrr...

well 1st day of school was boring.. the speech was making me drowsy n the endless registrations at counters n counters are troublesome and frustrating.. even the stoooopid doctor look-a-like lab coat is ugly.. (smallest size oso so big.. make me look lik i'm drowning in it)

the stoopid escalators of the school doesn't bloody work and students are not allowed to use the lift.. (make me climb to 4th floor using stairs.. so tiring)

and there's no bloody cute guys at all ( all look dem nerdy and retarded.. no fun no fun no fun!! ) but the girls there are all so well-dressed, maked-uped and everything.. haihz..

but at least the campus is nice la.. air-coned (DUH), nice looking labbies, nice looking lobby, nice canteen food, okay okay toilet.. can la can la.. i'll get used to it..

1. HAPPY CNY

it has been a wonderful cny celebration... w angpao's n all.. ooh n the dressing up part.. i totally love my cny clothes.. (though i bought too many so not all can be worn finish which is such a pity)

1st few days of cny is lik a fashion show for young ppl.. everyone wearing their classiessst outfits trying to outwit one another.. hehe.. let see the models on the runway..



i picked all my sis clothes noe... (good taste leh) she look so pretty n matured this yr.. hehe..

apart from angpao's there was oso the thrill of visiting tons of relatives (took up my entire saturday) collecting more n more money ( poor mom gotta rugi ) and also to meet up w long lost cousins.. (exagerating)

ooh n the gambling was good.. i love mahjong.. currently addicted to it.. mahjong mahjong.. tonight is the prayer night of the sky god (tian gong). yupz.. gotta pray pray pray..

pre CNY preparation

I am gonna travel back to Penang tomolo.. not many of my frens travel during cny actually.. most of them have their grandparents near them.. (especially sporeans) but i'm glad i need to travel.. it's like a short holiday out of da hse..

well i'm all prepared for cny.. got my new yr clothes packed.. my dog bathed n sent for boarding.. my nails painted.. hehe

It kinda sucks being attached but can't celebrate valentines day.. Sucks sitting at home sewing my cross-stitch n going online on valentines day.. sigh sigh.. wat else can i do?? everyone out there is attached, working or studying.. n i dun fancy going out with any other guys..

well, i'm just gonna adopt a sourgrape mentality ( u noe the story of wolf n the grapes he can't reach ) vday is pure exploitation..

it swallows ur money ( everything becomes suddenly extremely expensive )
it waste ur time (those queuing in front of restaurants or cinemas if u haven't made bookings)
it eats effort ( those brain cells sacrificed for the sake of planning gifts n events on the day )

sigh.. but it's all worth it if a special one is around ain't it?

i'm going crazy soon.. i am so freaking excited.. i seriously cannot contain myself anymore.. i'm about to burst because of anticipation.. i am yearning for time to fly quickly.. i honestly cannot distract myself from thinking of it day and night.. i need medication to calm my quick hearbeat..

yesterday American Idol was aired on 8tv (as usual)..

well me n my family had a hilarious time watching those ppl who can't sing.. but there was one person (he can sing though) that really made a meaningful contribution to the show..

he was an old man of almost 68 years old (clearly over the age limit as simon pointed out)...
he had in hand a petition signed by 300 ppl that supported him to make an appearance in american idol..

simon was being a lil rude (nothing unusual here) when he 1st appeared in the audition room.. we were all curious too in seeing an old man for he would have never had the chance to advance eventhough IF he has one hell of a good voice.. turns out his intentions were so so noble and touching too..

this man had a wife which was hit by cancer few years back.. the wife was always miserable no matter how hard the old man tried to cheer her up.. one day he had an idea - which is to collect a few signatures for his petition to dedicate a song to her on internatinal television.. american idol was the only was he was able to do so.. so when he return to the side of his wife's bed.. he showed her the piece of paper full of signatures.. and for the 1st time in months, the wife was happy.. over time, as he collected more and more signatures, his wife became more and more excited.. he though he finally had a chance to do something for his wife..

but poor him.. his wife passed away 2 days b4 the audition.. nontheless he did not gave up on his noble mission and proceed to the auditiom room, standing right b4 paula randy olivia ( guest judge) and simon.. as he sang his song dedicated to his wife ("because of you"-- the oldies version) paula teared.. (well me n y sis teared too)

the scene n his story was just so touching.. after everything.. all the judges shook hands with him, touched by his movements.. and gave his a warm loving applause.. finally, he told ryan he had "won".. regardless of what happened.. i think this old man had "won" too ..
what an amazingly touching scene..
